I can confirm some people are getting given the runaround on refunds. Some are getting them no questions asked. Shrug.

OK, Brad. It'll be interesting to see how you expand on this further when you're back home. I read the same post by Mark and co - I'm on QT3 myself :)
Brad, I like the concept. But you have a set of mechanics that do not work with each other very well, a graphics engine that's causing a lot of people problems, a magic system that is underwhelming, and an AI that doesn't live up to the billing. You take those away and what's left? Pretty much the setting and the concept. Troy's review makes much the same point. Elemental is a fantastic idea. Is it a fantastic game when you look past the issues? I don't see how it can
I think most people would agree that Elemental is a fantastic game -- once you get past the idiotic UI decisions, balance, etc.
I'm not sure if this is meant as a joke. Taken seriously... once you get past all the problems, you don't have much of a game left. It's a collection of ideas that don't work as a whole. That's the opposite of a fantastic game.
oh bullshit. do you really believe what you just said there? 'it appears to be complete trash' because? because? some pissed off chick on a forum her husband got banned form says so with some quotes? maybe it is complete trash, i dunno. i'm not one to criticise for spelling and grammar but the thread jaker linked to on that site makes those people look like the most despicable group i've seen.
Yes,

You're adorable. Husband gets banned from a game forum. Wife decides to "review" the book written by someone who caused her husband to get banned from. The book is merely the medium for these sad people to vent their hate. This is ridiculous. I post on QuarterToThree. I'm one of many people who found Matt Gallant's posting habits regarding Brad to be seriously out of order. But his wife has never gotten dragged into it, and she is an excellent poster as well as a talented eviscerator of awful books. That is some of the worst writing I've seen for a very long time. It's perfect fodder for her site. You sell things like that, prepare for awful reviews
Starcraft 2 works fine in pretty high detail on the M11x, just FYI :) Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z-WfIr-z3MY&feature=related
Just chiming in to back up the fact that the M11X is a bit of a gaming beast. Mine runs Borderlands and Left4Dead2 in high detail at high framerates. It is a proper gaming machine. Incidentally, measuring a CPU's worth by the clock speed went out of fashion a long time ago :) I have yet to find a game that the M11X really struggles with. I'm playing Elemental on my main games machine - and to be fair, the performance is pretty terrible on that as well, especially when there's a city o
