Having a milk box outside the back door where the milkman would deliver milk in glass bottles with the cream still floating on the top. Going to the corner store with an empty green coke bottle worth a nickel and coming out with a bag full of penny candy. Neighborhood schools where if you lived close enough, you could walk home for lunch and then go back when you were through. Watching The Wizard of Oz on a black and white television and never knowing that when t

When the Demigod beta first began, playing the game on my computer was like waiting for lightning to strike again before anything would move. I decided to upgrade my video card. My motherboard didn't have a pci slot so I upgraded my motherboard. Needed new memory to be compatible, and, realized my power supply didn't have the correct connections for the video card. I figured, what the heck, may as well get a bigger hard drive. So, now I have a nice new computer.&

I have been playing in the Pantheon on the forces of light side and would like to move over to the dark side for a change. However, I don't seem to be able to switch sides and, therefore, am unable to switch to dark demigods once I get to the Standings page before choosing the 'fight' option to enter a game. Is this a bug, or once a side is chosen are you unable to switch?

Ok, I'm confused...this article was posted on February 19th. It does say "tomorrow, February 19 we plan to release Beta 3 of Demigod". Since Beta 3 does not appear to have been released on the 19th, is it actually set to release today the 20th? I'm assuming that is the case since yesterday today would have been tomorrow.

Having built several computers from the ground up, I would suggest putting it together somewhere that you are not walking across carpeting and that you wear shoes while working. Stocking feet and synthetic fibers tend to accumulate static electricity. Personally, I always unplug the computer from any power supply just in case... You might check your motherboard manual to see what types of graphic cards it will support before you purchase a new card. If your boa

Having grown up before color televisions were available (I was about 10 years old before we had one) watching the old movies in their original format brings back great memories. I remember watching the Wizard of Oz and my mom telling us that everything was in color after Dorothy opened the door of her house after it landed in Oz. Eagerly awaitng that part of the movie, when she opened the door I still remember being disappointed when the yellow brick road was still grey. Ah,

I, too, had problems getting deskscapes to work on my XP system. I have an Nvidia GeForce 8800GT video card, which was not a problem. Each time I went to run a dream, my desktop would freeze and I would have to reboot. I made sure the dreams were in Documents and Settings/My Documents/Stardock/Dreams. I had to click each one to get them to show up in display properties. Once they were there I could only run the non-mpeg2 dreams. So, I downloaded

Hmm let's see...should I put 3 points on one dream I think outshines them all, or should I give 2 points to one and 1 point to another, or...I could give three different dreams 1 point each. I don't find that confusing at all. In fact, it gives me more options than just being able to choose one. I kind of like the ability to vote this way. And, since I've tried all the dreams in the contest, I think I'll go vote! [e digicons]*_*[/e]

After several days of trying to get deskscapes to work on my XP SP3 system, it does :) However, I have a question...Should I be able to switch between dreams without having to disable one dream before starting another? If I try to switch from one dream to another I get the 'Run dll as an app' error and my display properties lock up. I am then unable to access display properties with a right mouse click until I reboot. When my screen appears, I then have the last dream
