Then why have two build queues? The question is...what were *you* doing prior to turn 50 that caused you to lose? I almost always build a basic military unit first thing to defend my capital. ***Because defending my capital city is important.***
I had a defending unit. I never leave my cities undefended. Not since civilization 1. But he had more units and a far higher lvl count on his 3 heroes.

But dont you have to prioritize then as well? I mean money is not infinite as are people. The last two games i was killed prior to turn 50 because of a huge enemy force. He must have done nothing else.
I also think about a future multplayer. This makes unit rushing possible. Killing an enemy in the first turns of the game. It also keeps peacefull races weak i think. Maybe a city buildin melitia? Numbers based on the city size? Only active when there is no active unit to defend the city? Or maybe to choose for the cost of a city lvl?
I was attending a quest for an inn to kill rats for the doom club. After returning to the inn i could choose the reward Doom Club over and over again. The window only disappeares after clicking on "i take the gildar" but i had already a dozen of doom clubs in my inventory. Sorry. Found the bug report related to this. But in my game it doesnt repeat anymore. Dont know what went different.
Looking at my first game so far i have to say that i liked it better when we had the production of buildings and units seperated like in the "old" game. What do you guys think?
I chose off, but what I think most people would really like is a close-up view at an angle that gives us a more personal perspective of the city. The current iteration is very good for placement, but I feel that cities are mostly taken for granted by the endgame. Giving us a little up-close spin around the city and then an angled view from which to build would remind us of all the cool stuff we have been building.
<p
I am waiting too. So nothing yet? I was wondering if there went something wrong. Got the mail for the beta but still nothing in my download section.
For me it is definately Master of Orion 2. The game made it through many moves, played it with many girlfriends, install it on every Desktop, Laptop and Netbook i have and still play it every week at least once. Master of Orion 2 is the most played and loved game of my entire life so far. I even still play it at LAN Parties and at home with friends. I there were ever an update to this game i just want it the way it was with better graphics and a bigger
Totally agreed on the damage point. And mostly everything from the first post. I do love this game already. I really do. But i cant recommend it to friends yet because they are not into that kind of games without it beeing really really really polished and multiplayer friendly.
1. Fixed memory leaks. 2. Reduced memory consumption (especially in the late game) by releasing unneeded textures instead of retaining them indefinitely.
Does this fix the "out of memory" crash? Can i hope on this one? Really? Finally? If the answer is yes..then...YES!!!!!!!! If the answer is no..then...i know where your house lives. -.-
Thx guys :) Kicker. Makes sense. Even to the meaningless questions there are answers here. One has to love this forum.
I knew this! I've always imagined Toby slaving away or coming up with ideas, and Kael and Frogboy off playing foosball or Call of Duty together laughing.
WTH is foosball? I know football, soccer and Fußball. ^^
Love things most people hate and vice versa. That way i can keep the illusion of beeing independent and unique :D
Good luck guys and girls. Hope you dont need it. Love War of Magic already. Make it better, get a 64 bit exe at release, kill the out of memory bug and you make a loyal customer happier then he already is :)
Beeing turn based is a complaint? I will never understand those people O.o
Sind of a Solar Empire is more like Haegemonia if you know that (But with much much bigger battles). Great game. Especially in Multiplayer. Gal Civ is more a Space Civilization Master of Orion mix but sadly with the lag of a multiplayer mode. So total different games. If you are more the Multiplayer competitive player then buy sins of a solar empire. If you are more a solo gamer who likes Turn based games then buy Gal Civ. But if you love great sci-fi games in general
Not the out of memory is the game. Not your system. But Stardock is different then any other company because they are working hard on that game. I know that because i own it and saw the changes. That they still not addressed this bug is frustrating. Yes. But their support is one of the best in the gaming world in my opinion. Dont regret one game i bought from them :) But its important to tell those bugs. And i hope they learn from this for the next one. The ga
Agreed. The fact that Items for Heroes only costs you gold is very imbalanced. They should cost ressources also. And the variaty and power of found items from questing should be greatly improved i think.
Why does everyone want female soldiers? Isnt this a medieval world? Where is the realism in them having equal rights or women army? They fight hand to hand you know. Not with rifles where the gender is not important. But on a huge battlefield with melee weapons there is really no use for weak women.
Cant say how they configured the DosBox config for this game when you buy it from impulse. But this might help you configure it right and set up a LAN game. Works for my friends and me. http://masteroforion2.blogspot.com/2006/05/dosbox-guide.html I think you might skip one or two of the steps though.
I really love this programm but is there a way to get a bigger size cap for dreams than 150 MB? It pisses me off sometimes. 200 or 250 would be a lot better.
In my case i never played the campaign. I only play the skirmish custom galaxy modes. Master of Orion 2 is my favorite game since it came out and i hoped that GalCiv 2 would change that but because of the lack in multiplayer skirmish modes it never will or get close to that. I play Moo2 multiplayer, i play Civ4 multiplayer and i play every other strategy game i bought just in multiplayer or skirmish mode. I had fun with the game and its great but with no multiplayer i will never install it a
