I post all my games win or lose. I just enjoy posting them, I don't care about the score. So far I've only lost one and I got 2400 points for it which I thought was rather generous considering how badly I was beaten. Althought maybe I did since I was the last civilization standing out of everyone when the Drengin finished my isolationist Iconians off. It was really fun to get beaten actually. I tried to make it tough on the Drengin. Many Lucky Rangers were made flaming wrecks on that day..

Ships in orbit around a planet will not form fleets if attacked unless you have: A) An orbital fleet manager, which only effects the planet it is built on, and it will only form a fleet that is equal to your current logistics ability. B) A Hyperion Fleet Manager, which also only affects the planet it is built on and it will form a fleet with all the ships orbiting that planet regardless of your logistics. I'll add an example just to clarify. I have a logistics
I randomize it all (as I've already said elsewhere) but I tend to like medium maps the best. I seem to have the most fun on them. Large and larger maps tend to make my empire too unassailable real estate wise and too economically dominant. I'm sure on higher difficulties that wouldn't be as much of an issue. Perhaps I'll try it sometime soon and see how it goes. As far as the number of races, I think my favorite medium maps have been the ones with 4+. It tends to keep things inte
Thanks for the quick and informative reply. I appreciate it.
I have a few minor problems and wanted to know what I should upload so that it might be fixed. First, when I'm at war with a civilization, I can no longer see what ships and starbases they have on the diplomatic screen. After I make peace it doesn't come back either. Also, after I conquer a planet and look in the details screen, there is flavor text in the top left window which displays repetitious text separated by asterisks. Example: After the evil
Richrf- I actually randomize everything (except difficulty) but this time it's a medium map, and from the looks of it, stars were very rare, planets were also rare but habitable planets seem to be common. I was with four other races (Drath, Yor, Iconians, and Thalans) and one minor race (Paulos). I was in a battle to the death with the Drath and had just made peace with the Thalans when the Yor decided to embrace peace, love and happiness which was horrible for me because I was the K
I was just wondering if anyone uses very slow research when they set up a game. I usually randomize everything and play it out no matter what happens. The last game I was playing as the Korx and started in a very slow research galaxy. It has been the most fun I've ever had play GalCiv 2 and that's saying a lot. I've been fighting for years now and I my troops finally acquired the most devastating weapon in the galaxy from the Yor (who suddenly reprogrammed themselves to be good). What did I
Nevermind please delete this post.
Freeform rotation sounds very nice. I tried the attachment point modifiers and about pulled my hair out. As far as the AI is concerned- do you do most of your games on medium maps when you tune the AI? I usually use medium maps and the AI seems to be very well equipped to deal with people on the medium size map. I am always playing catch up in military, research and social production and I usually end up getting booted right out of the ga
I had four Lucky Rangers show up, one per week, but it seemed like an event triggered it. In this case the vastly superior Drengin who controlled 85% of the map finally declaring war on me. After that it was a Lucky Ranger for me every week for four weeks. I still lost after the Drengin built ships to "accomodate" the Rangers. It did seem rather excessive that all of a sudden my archaeologists dug up every precursor artifact in the quadra
Before you research the Neutrality Learning Centers there is no description in the technology box showing any upgrades except for descriptive text stating that you get vastly improved research buildings. There are no upgrades listed so I think there's either a bug or they're only half way implemented. The tech on the tech tree is there but the buildings it gives you aren't. It was a dissapointment for the Iconian Refuge to say the least.
Thanks for the information. I'll do that as soon as possible.
First off, let me say that this is a great game and thanks for developing it. I have enjoyed playing immensely and decided I would try out the metaverse. I had a bit of a problem with the metaverse. I don't have an internet connection at my home so I use a bluetooth cellular link to start metaverse games and to finish them. I don't have the link constantly on during the game and all I did was Alt-Tab out when it asked if I wanted to post,
