Okay, so I couldn't resist. I did an in-place reinstall of windows with the latest Dev version 26300.8493 and it cleaned up the issues I was having even after uninstalling Start11. I then installed Start11 and restored my saved settings and everything works perfectly again. I never move the task bar from the bottom, but I tested and the new native Windows options work fine with Start11 installed although I don't use the enha

You can choose to ignore this because it involves a preview build, but I installed Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26300.8493) and explorer just kept restarting. I immediately thought it may be a conflict with Start 11 because this update was supposed include the option to move the Taskbar. I rolled back Windows, uninstalled Start 11 and reinstalled the update, but there was no change and Explorer just kept resarting. So I presume Start11 may not be the issue. But because I ju

This has never been a big issue for me but this same thing has been happening for as long as I can remember on every version of Windows 11 and every iteration of Start 11. I currently have an SP8 and am using a Dev version of Windows 11 so obviously it could be the Dev version, but I assure you this has been going on for years on both insider and release versions of Windows 11. Also, when using the stylus on the start button, the menu alternates between the Start 11 and Windows 11 version (fu

That might be something the system could do automatically when a new item is pinned: set up a new group at the end of the menu with the newly pinned item. I have the same experience but am not bothered by it...just a minor quirk and I know what to look for.

Just a suggestion: My wife has been successfully using Windows 10 in tablet mode on a Surface Pro 3 for a few years. The device is getting old and needs to be replaced. Obviously, she would need to switch to Windows 11 where there really is no usable tablet mode. Can Start 11 be set up to be always present or automatically open when an app is closed or put in the background similar to windows 10 tablet mode? She never needs or wants to see the desktop, only the Windows 10 menu with the few ic

Just an FYI from someone who is on the Dev/Insider program. Transparent taskbar is back but clicking any icon or widget other than the menu icon cuts the taskbar and icons in half no matter what the setting or size of the taskbar. Refreshing explorer fixes it but happens again on the next click. Yes, I did an uninstall, reboot and rein

Hi, Just out of curiosity, are the Start11 pinned apps supposed to sync with the Windows 11 pinned apps? In other words if I pin an app to the Windows menu should it automatically show as a pinned app in Start 11? And conversely, if I unpin an app from Start 11 should it also be removed from the Windows 11 start menu? Again, I know I'm on the insider program but just wondering if this is designed into Start 11. Thanks

I'm not sure if this is a Windows Insider bug or Start 11 but I thought I'd mention it anyway. After updating to 25236 most of the Web Apps I had installed with Edge were missing from both the Windows Start menu and Start 11 even though they were still installed in Edge. Some I was able to repopulate both Start menus from Edge but others I had to delete and reinstall. I know you don't deal with Windows Insider issues but I thought you may want to know.

Full disclosure...I'm on the latest Insider's Build and it isn't really a bother. I have a Surface Pro 5 and have a similar experience but only when using the pen. In that case both the Start 11 and Windows menus open simultaneously all the time. Using finger touch or a mouse always works fine. This has happened for as long as I can recall and only when using the pen. As I am on the Insider build, I have no expectation of a fix nor is it an issue for me. I just wanted to share

I would suggest that Stardock focus only on development for the shipping version of Windows and not the Dev or Beta. They'll be chasing their tails otherwise for things that may not need to be fixed and may compromise a great product. This comes from someone who has been on the Windows Insider program from day one. I have pulled Start 11 for now because I see that my issues are more than likely caused by my Windows version and not Start 11. I'll keep monitoring this site and may reinstall fro

He's right. Only the Start button responds to touch. I didn't realize this before. I thought it was my system. I even uninstalled Start11 to confirm. Windows 11 on its own is fine. All the icons respond to touch without Start11 installed.

It's been part of Edge for a long time. From any site click the triple dots on the top right of Edge; click on Apps about halfway down; click on "install this site as an app"; click on install. A new windows app will be created based in the website. I use this a lot for sites I use regularly...even Stardock. In the Windows 11 start menu it shows up in the App list immediately and can be pinned to Start menu like any other program. It does eventually show up in the Star

Any app generated by Microsoft Edge exhibits this. All other apps work as expected. Also, Edge apps don't show up on the app list until an Explorer refresh either by forced restart, reboot or some other Start11 internal refresh mechanism. This is minor so I really have no expectation for a solution, but I thought Stardock should know about it. I may be the only one experiencing this. I still appreciate the quality and complexity of the software and use it every day. Thanks.</p
