It doesn't need that level of depth, but there need to be SOME empire building decisions which are real decisions and really do matter. (Personally I feel the more depth the better but I can put up with less and appreciate the adventuring aspects of FE in exchange).[/quote] Well said! Otherwise I could install a Civ4 mod with fantasy units ;-) The game has some very co
I disagree. I enjoy the wildlands very much and think they are one of the more interesting elements of the game. Reducing difficulty will take away a large part of the fun here. I do not care to meet the other factions too soon, not at least until I have carved out my own tiny stable kingdom at least and stabilized it somewhat. Meeting other factions too early has always been annoying for me in Civ for example, because it meant to have to rush fr resources, being drawn into an early war, befo
I like the idea. Wildlands are a fun part of the game and I do enjoy the extra challange they offer. Creating mini-wildlands would be a nice idea to make city building somewhat harder, especially if you have to fight for a really good city spot.
Me too! Summoning was a great part of MoM. There are too many heros anyway IMHO. Most of my armies are filled with heroes with a few normal troop types as well. This is somehow strange compared to other games of this type where heroes are relatively scarce. EDIT: I would suggest to put a bigger focus on "normal" troop types and/or summoned creatures with a few heroes in between which have cool powers, can be equipped, etc.
I agree - I liked the MOM spell research much more. It is more rewarding somehow to research every spell. One could create "rare"/random spell additions to search for on the world map. This would make quests interesting, but there should be a way to make this less random somehow. Maybe pick a quest to look for a rare spell when entering your capital and having built a certain building? Just creating crazy ideas here ;-)
Fallen Enchantress starts to become really interesting - wow! Keep on going! One suggestion: It would be nice to get information on your quests when clicking on them on the left side of the screen. Also, provide some way to know where to look for. Sometimes I get quests where I do not know where I should turn on on the map. Wuld be nice to see "quest" markers on the map even in uncharted territory or hidden in fog of war.
