Exactly what strategy is added? I am a commander looking to take over the world, there is no way i am going to start in the sahara. I am going to start somewhere with supplies. If that is your idea of a strategy then i dont understand the value of adding it to the game. AI sovs dont use essence and it just reduces players options so lets quietly remove it.

I saw that last night in 951 sometimes saving and coming back worked in 95 and previous.

An army with 2 umberdoths...fluffy and beauregard...and a decent sov is a dragon killer. BUT it is a mechanic that takes work you need all the tips on this page AND very difficult to tame a beast that is higher level than your sov. Doths will just bite your head off. spiders will poison the hell out you while you are trying to give them a treat. The silver goblet helps with that. I always try to armor up my sov so they can withstand the attacks.

FROGGGGGGG I owe you a guiness. With the command line change and the zip file I can see my sov on the new game screen...starting a game now for other checks. I had newer drivers than posted, updated them this week. All of my screens were exactly like the ones posted. I could not see sovs or anyone if they were the 3d models. I could see the start screen which is static. and the diplomacy screen.

That is the pupose of a beta nasarog---out of the ten thousand we have ---maybe--in this beta....just a number pulled out of my butt based on the number of views for this forum. Out of the ten thousand if we have a couple hundred with missing 3d models and one of them in the future is a reviewer...boom. Or just the fact that Myself on a commercial machine with windows 7 ONE UPGRADE- a radeon 6450 vid card and NO funky software, cant see 3d models is weird. Now it has got to the point

It was called unplayable by at least two of the reviewers 2 years ago. I have been playing it and it is frustrating. VERY. I have reported errors and sent in debug and posted an entire thread back in may. The response was to keep going down a path that did not fix problems with the game but to add more things that caused more problems. Not being innocence as i said several posts back, This game beta whatever does not need the public to see it at this time. Thats it, no one else needs to be seeing this crash fest until they fix some stuff. For those of us that paid for this thing two years ago and got a knee dragging apology for wasting our money on it and then a promise to do it right this time...this is not the way to do it. Why is it not being released? frogboy said it is. What are yo talking about? "When the game is released" We have already seen one disaster with this game and i dont want another. I did the same grouse back in may and we havent resolved a single issue that i brought up. We have a new thread on crashes with this patch. Corruption of save and crashes is horrible and it needs to be fixed- not add new spells. Simple really new content is bunk if you cant play the game.

I am going to try this good post thing. When you load the screen for the very first turn...everything is clear to me. I dont have to mouse over a space to see the bonusus or ability to build. I dont have to do anything at all but just look . All tiles bonuses- mana clay wheat- are instantly viewable and I know exactly what i need. I can process the entire screen in 10 seconds and the only thing i ever have to mouse over is the lvl hero to remember exactly what their bonuses are. Note-

Because this game has been in beta for two years and still crashes and the designers are talking about world events and not fixing crashes and releasing it AS-IS so that everyone can see that it is still not ready...after two years. do you think that wont be beaten like a drum? Seriously, you think this is a good idea? And the line..there's a patch coming-is getting just about foolish at this point. I have been through all the patches and still this game is not stable.
