Reply to SC: Origins freezes after opening cutscenes in Star Control StarControl Forums

I have exactly the same issue, every time the game freezes right after the initial cutscenes. Game files integrity validation always fails (1 file always failing and needs to be reacquired). Ended up downloading all DLCs in case this fixed the issue but no luck. Deleted and reinstalled the game more than 3 times already, ran at lowest settings problem persists.
