Works great here too. Thanks Stardock!

And, no, I'm not going to tell you what any of the cheats are. Alright, could you shed some light on how the cheats work then? Is it a command console, or cheatkeys? <TD class="mb-Body-
Good stuff. I was bummed that I couldn't go ;( Oh well, at least we had one guy on site.
Isn't it just another term for computer café?
2.how about "Wasabi"? That'd be cool. "Captain, we're being hailed!", and a bunch of aliens appear on screen, screaming "WASAAAAAABI!!". Close encounter!
Can't seem to connect, neither through SDC nor Xchat. * Looking up irc.stardock.com * Connecting to irc.stardock.com (66.28.242.195) port 6667... * Connection failed. Error: No route to host
Oh yeah, it's a question of immersion. It doesn't feel "real" if it's just Fighter, Cruiser etc. I usually name them after people or historic ships. For example in my last game, my fast colony ship was a "Colombus Class Colony Ship", and my battlecruiser was a "Hood Class Cruiser". It's stuff like this that, for me at least, takes the game from awesome to super wicked
I want my money go to SD (who deserve it) rather than to some middle-man who don't even know a thing or two about quality games. Well, it wont be a problem for us Euros then, as Paradox do know great games. I love their games, except for Diplomacy, yuck.
I wonder who they get to do the voice over? I seem to rememer someone saying it was Kristin Hatcher from Poweruser.tv.
Ungh, Xfire Don't really need another IM application.
As I recall, you can run the game with a cheat flag and thus enable cheat mode. You wont be able to submit your games to the Metaverse though. On the subject of cheats, how will the game know you're cheating if you don't use the cheatmode? Couldn't you edit the memoryvalues to give yourself more money, fast research etc, and thus manipulate the metaverse? In effect, couldn't a "trainer" program catapult you to the #1 position in no time? Hop
Haha, nice one
Photoshop mainly, a bit of 3D Studio Max. For text based modding, it's good ol' Notepad++. The only modding I've got planned is a custom race based on the humans (see personal icon).
If I didn't suck so bad, I might consider it
I managed to convince the head of communications at the company I work for to join the GC2 club
I did download the tutorials but I can't seem to find them anywhere in the Galciv2 folder... :S Can anyone help? Look in Gfx\Tutorials. If you can't view the tutorials, you need to download RAD Game Tools from radgametools.com
As far as I recall, the senate exists in all the races.
More vids! Go go go!
There's nothing wrong with that. As far as I can understand, his problem is that it isn't clear enough that there's more than one package you can download. Personally, I didn't have any trouble with spotting the + button, but to each his own. Perhaps SDC could ask the user if he wants to download the application files only, or all packs in the tree?
It's not
What on Earth possesed you to post this here of all places?
Hope not. I hated that critter.
Tabbing works great in the early game, but once you and everyone else expands it takes a while to get back in the game. A long while. So, I ended up playing it in windowed mode, and it works like a charm.
Tutorial first, then personalized. I would never bother with the storymode in a 4X game.
