Hi everyone. I've asked this question in #elemental on IRC a couple of times and haven't really received a straight answer, so here goes: There may be issues still with War of Magic, but they're not off-putting to me - much has been put right since initial release. But there's one thing that still prevents me from playing the game - suicidal sovereigns. I'm sure you're aware of it; enemy sovs will sometimes enter your territory completely unprotected, for no good rea

Brad, while I appreciate you squashing this bug, by far the bigger problem in my opinion is that of suicidal sovereigns. Enemy sovs who turn up in my territory unprotected are basically handing me the game. This is a game-breaker. I know this has been reported before; are you getting anywhere with it?
Let's give each other a big hug because the 1.11 AI is better than all previous AIs. Unfortunately, the AI still won't attack you when it declares war, still sends unprotected pioneers out all over the place, still doesn't group their armies well, makes questionable choices when building cities and troops and upgrades, leaves its sovereign vulnerable to attack, does not do tactical battles well (not Brad's fault), demands money when i

For what it's worth, I (accidentally) fixed the update issue myself by running the game's launcher, quitting from that, then checking back on Impulse to find the normal sized update had replaced the huge one.

Well I just got the dreaded note through the door. £15-odd to pay for the privilege of collecting a package I've already spent a lot of money on and waited a long time for. I can't decide whether or not to bother, either. Oh, and guess what? I moved house shortly after placing the pre-order, so I emailed Stardock's sales department to tell them my new address and to specifically ask them to ship Elemental to the new address. Of course, the note I h

Fair enough! With regard to cwg009, I have to say that digital download will never, in its current state, supplant physical media for me. With things like bandwidth limitations, traffic shaping/throttling, etc. having an effect I don't see downloading a game as either fast or convenient, and I'm still old-fashioned enough to prefer a nice shiny box, even if they are generally less attractive these days than they used to be. My biggest bugbear with digital di

No offence intended, but you guys in the Americas should be glad you even have a choice. We in the UK (and, I suspect, most of the rest of the world) had no choice but to pay for the game to be shipped from Stardock if we wanted a boxed copy. If I could have wandered into a shop and just bought a LE myself, I'd have done that.

Well, if they were shipped on 24th (and even that may not be true going by other posts around here) they still haven't had the full three weeks to be delivered so I'm not complaining yet. It is annoying, though, that other people in Belgium, Australia and the UK have received their copies. Mine was pre-ordered pretty much as soon as it was available.
I haven't got it yet. I'd wait until next week before I start to worry - although that would be mainly that Customs have opened it and I'm going to get one of those nice little "you have custom duty to pay" letters.
Bah. Any idea how much that would cost if it happened?
