What with the hate on the price? Its a collector's edition. Its gonna be pricey! Your paying for those 'cheap' toys, items, and other swag. Is any collector's edition cost effective for a consumer? no not at all. But you are paying to be an owner of a limited piece of one of your favorite games. If its too expensive for you, then its too expens

So I got the new patch and it's alright and all (me being fairly nooby at this game I can't say I noticed a difference). Only thing is pause wouldn't work anymore as I had rekeyed it to P. Now it doesn't work and it was attached to Ping. I assume then that the patch reset the key bindings however I couldn't find Pause again in the keybindings (probably in global?).
Quoting Ryat, reply 5Why worry? You still get to keep the levels it gained. Yes, Sins has turned into Goundhog Day the movie. Devs wanted no input on this issue....they never responded.
Well I'm thinking they think there was more important things to worry about. If enough of the community didn't like it, I don't think they'd keep it in.

I just don't think it makes sense to completely punish people who research supply tech. If you lose a ton of your army, there is no upkeep loss at all, so you have to build a fleet pretending there is a phantom one somewhere else that you're slowly replacing.. Is there a way maybe mods could fix this, or is it too fundamentally part of the code?

Well, I have 16GB of RAM and don't use a pagefile. I would be willing to help test out any such flag. It seems pretty basic to me, just put the same flag on the .exe, not saying that I actually understand how to. Is it too technical of a reason why it can't be done for SOSE?

I remember Skyrim modders applying a 4gb patch/flag to the .exe of Skyrim to make it run more than 2gb. Is it possible to do this same thing with Rebellion to get around the reported minidumps? I personally haven't experienced this but it seems like that would be the best workaround. Or maybe that isn't possible with the programming architecture of Rebellion rather than Skyrim?

Since you have Sins already, you should be able to get the discount. Just get two accounts and it'll save you the time more than the $30 is worth trying to get around it.

I'm guessing the default attack distance programmed into him is just

In many real-time strat games turning off endgame options like Titans is a common feature, like turning off nukes in Supreme Commander.

I actually have similar specs (except 570GTX and 16gb RAM) and I pretty much never get crashing (except for the titan auto-levelup bug). Also I have pagefile turned off.

Has anyone mentioned maybe giving the pirates carrier fleets that have special abilities and bonuses against trade and resource buildings? As in, they can wipe out all the buildings there and/or null the trade for a certain period unless a large enough force is there to repel them before they do so?

I have Vista 64 ultimate. It didn't work for me at first either, just the window the taskbar, but it never maximized/intilialized, whatever. So I right clicked on the .exe and ran compatibility mode and put it in for WinXP w/ Service Pack 2 and it ran fine (albeit I only ran it for about 5 minutes just now, starting a campaign).
