I think apple should release a PC OSX. I expect it would do wonders for thier business. Everyone who wants a double win/oxs boot could have one and so on. The design is nice and the graphics are wonderful, and yes, I think it would probably be a lot easier to learn. I played with a new imnac in a shop for 20 mins or so and found my way around osx perfectly. And I had never had the chance to fiddle with OSX before. But to say which one is the better os... well, I'm not sure it can really be said.

Strange! I would try installing Microangelo or something and using that to change the icon to a drive icon (contained within the shell32.dll file in C:\Windows\System32 in a standard WinXP installation). If this doesn't work, there's something wrong. Also, try flushing the icon cache. Has the icon always been like that or can you trace it back to when you installed or uninstlalled something or made some adjustment?

Have you just installed XP at home (in the last month or so), becuase if so, this explains the fact you can add stuff quickly. I think how it works is Windows keeps a count of the number of times you click a shortcut and adds the top 5 accordingly. I like your last program idea - shame MS never thought of that . Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to make stuff do this. My syggestion is to make

1337 is leet. The 1 is the l, the 3's are the E's, and the 7 is the T. As far as I know, it is a kind of numeric language. As in numbers and symbols are used to show letters. For example, I could write the word 'letter' like this: 13773R. $'s can be used as S's too.

I have met a couple of these chuds too. I don't like them. Forgboy, your description reminds me of a russian guy in one of the James Bond 007 movies. Goldeneye, I think.
