Try this and see if it works: 1) Create a shortcut of this file. 2) Place this shortcut in "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" 3) Restart Windows Explorer. 4) Open the Start11 Start Menu and go to All Apps 5) Right click on the shortcut created above and select "Pin to Start11" Hope this works for you.

Why not use the Start Menu? The Start 11 Start Menu provides super organizational options including groups, pages, etc. I know, it’s one more click of the mouse button, but worth it for the organization. I used to keep all my frequent apps on the taskbar, but once I started using the Start Menu, I never went back! Give it a try, you might find you like it.

As an alternative to uncombine taskbar buttons in Start 11, I use Groupy. It allows me to group multiple apps, or multiple windows of a single app, in one window with an individual tab for each window. The tabs are renamable (which people have asked for in Start 11), and you can also save the group for later use. This would allow you, once again, to center the Start button in the taskbar and it saves valuable taskbar space, especially on a laptop. I

If I had to guess, I would say it probably has something to do with the processing power and only having 2GB of RAM. You're asking a lot from this older device just to run this version of the OS. I would just stick with Start 10 if it works okay. I doubt seriously that you will find a remedy to your issue with Start 11.

Try setting the Display Scaling to 100% and see if the icons appear correctly. Also try the Windows 10 Style menu in Start 11 and see if that changes anything. Do the icons appear correctly in Windows 10 Settings>Apps & Features app list?

You can accomplish what you are asking for by adjusting the icon size in the configuration settings by going to Start Menu>Configuration>Shortcut Icons Should be Sized pull-down menu. Then go to Start Menu>Configuration>Visual Appearance>Make Menu Font Bigger or Smaller. Making the Menu Font bigger or smaller will also adjust the icon size, so you might have to go back and forth between those settings to achieve the look you like. <img src="https://cdn.stardock.us/forum

Upgraded yesterday from 1.24 stable to 1.25 beta on Windows 10 ver. 21H2 Build 19044.1806 and all is good. I'm using the Windows 10 Style menu. It's really nice to have multiple pages on the Start Menu in Windows 10 and being able to use the mouse wheel to scroll thru pages is awesome. Thanks for all your hard work!

After you drag the file/folder from the first tab to the second tab make sure to continue dragging down inside the window until the "Move to name of folder " tool tip displays and then release. The file/folder should be moved and remain in the tab to which you moved it.

Pretty sure there aren't any keyboard shortcuts for the Start 11 configuration settings. If you mean shortcuts for navigating the Start Menu, you can use the same Windows shortcuts you use in the Windows Start Menu. Use the Tab key and the Arrow keys to move your selection around and the Enter key to open the selection.

You can achieve this by turning on "Start menu should open showing all programs list" in the Advanced options and then resize the Start menu as small as it will go. Unfortunately you will not be able to display most used apps at the top.

All you have to do is open Start 11, click "Configuration menu," and at the top add any locations to you need to the "Shortcut List" and then set those shortcuts to "Display as menu." Now, open the Start Menu, and then click on the shortcut in the "Quick Access Shortcut list."

Make sure you have "Use Windows 11 menu style icons" turned off. (See below) Then you can right click a tile and select a custom color for the background.
