Simple answer is because most commercial game's journalists aren't really gamers at all, they are , well journalists I see a trend where even a poor shallow game will get a very high score as long as it's relatively bug free, polished and accessible. In fact I think to be a games reviewer these days, being a "n00b" is some sort of prerequisite.... and lets not get into the big publishers rumored payouts for a good score. Any name brand computers you are basically wasting money. Get a good PC with quality parts made up for you, you will get a much better machine for a much better price

I am probably going to have a bit of a unique list, at least compared to other elemental players. as I enjoy alot of different styles of game, but am primarily a fighting game enthusiast. Tekken 6 Super Streetfighter 4 BlazBlue Dawn of war 2 is my competitive RTS. It's far superior to SC2 imo and innovative (the single player is terrible though) Everquest 2 is my Mmo of choice, very under-rated game at this stage in tis life. Really not playing

Ok this is bloody ridiculous. I am starting to lose faith in Star-dock. Granted I don't live in Canada, but I have also not received my LE. NO tracking number or anything was one thing, but I haven't even received an email that my order has been shipped, some basic service I expect in this day and age.

The only comment i really have is at this stage the empire faction feels and looks quite bland to me, and I usually love playing "evil" factions in games, in this one I just cant bring myself to do it, the graphics hurt my brain

BTW raven I also have an old Dungeons and dragons campaigns setting with a lot of useful information including character cards with stats for most of the major players in the series (at least the war of the lance era versions) let me know if there is any specific information you still need and I can do soemthig similar for you like edpfister.

God I love my dreamcast it is one of the all time great consoles and was much better than the PS2 even on atechnical level for the most part. It's a real shame it never took off commercially. SEGA may be ion a different state than they are today. .

Try deleting the data in your options menu I had this problem and that was the fix, unfortunately I had to re-download after this but then it worked with no complaint. Again this isnt really stardocks problem, and personally I think they have the best piracy protection in this manner , much preferable to the alternatives.

I live in New Zealand so I wasn't expecting this with any punctuality but I am a little disturbed that I wasn't even sent an email to notify me if it had been shipped at all. I love stardock, but this games release has left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. I'll see how the game is after 1.08 but if nothing changes expect a bunch of crash reports from me because the game still runs like a dog, is unstable and I am still waiting for the limited addition

I don't agree with this sentiment. Adding multi player will do a lot for the balancing effort and perhaps outline problems that aren't currently known.

Performance is a lot better, still doesn't seem right I am sure my computer should be able to handle this game, it handles eq2 with ease and that game is known to have an absolutely horrible engine.

For me at this stage performance is stopping from enjoying the game at all. and honestly. I really hope this is going to be hot-fixed and ASAP. I havent really been able to play at all to find the other bugs, and no thanks Id prefer not to be relagated to cloth map

Honestly I am not interested in CIV, kinda bored of the historical game. I'm sticking out with this game for the long haul, but at the moment am having difficulties enjoying it due to the performance problems. I hope they push out a fix for this soon.

Absolutely abysmal performance. I am not even going to list my specs because I can play every game released in the last 5 years on maximum settings. Yet not this game? It's definately to do with the cities because I have no problems on the cloth map or tactical map, the problem starts when the city gets build up

I will be watching this mod with baited breath, we have not ever had a good modern Dragon lance game or mod as far as I can tell. I really hate these game journalists, most of them do more damage than good. Another good example is too human which was actually a very good game once you got used to it.
