If I remember correctly, the opt-in patch is actually older than what you get by default. Not sure why it is available.

I get the same crash. It is actually the only CTD I have had playing this game.

I tried a lot of different things, but strangely what seems to fix it is just to launch LegendaryHeroes.exe instead of launching the game from Steam or using the shortcut created by Steam. When I was having this issue, the load screens had no progress bar. With the issue resolved, I see the progress bar fill up and then the game interface appears as you would expect. Hope this will help anyone who has the same issue.

I just bought the game on Steam. The intro video won't play, so I disabled it in the menu. When I click Tutorial (or any means of starting a new game) I get a loading screen.
