It's not likely to change back. We did this in order to balance against single mega stacks.
You mean you did this to make the AI's favored tactic of an endless tide of abject garbage stronger.
Ahriman
There are way, way too many horses/wargs on the map, the engine is just putting too many down. On a few recent starts there was a horse/warg for almost every other resource of every other type combined.
Oh, finally, a nice, uncamped, 4/3/0 by the woo... er nope, Death Demon and Lord of the Flame, so sorry...
Am I supposed to PLAY this game, or is it an exercise in extreme gaming masochism? Another new game, found two nearby locations with "mediocre" 4/3/0 tiles (of course not adjacent to a river or forest or anything good like that). What they ARE adjacent to is HAUNTERS, with full stacks. Like I have a chance in $&*@! surviving this.
Quoting Ahriman, reply 7I see 3 essence every 10+ games (on the map, period, not on my starting spot). I've seen 4 NEVER (except as enemies starting tiles). Essence comes from some resources, shards, and some monster lairs. Play with all those settings on dense and you will see 3 essence tiles all over the place every map.
Ah, so we aren't playing the game on normal settings... that expl
... build towns on those mediocre 5/3/0, 3/4/0 or 4/3/0 tiles
"Mediocre?" MEDIOCRE??? Is there something frigging wrong with my &*#&@! computer's random number generators? I see those as pretty darn good tiles. I rarely see anything better. I really am beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with my processor...
The "snaking" mod for FE still works fine in LH. Basically an essential mod now. I haven't noticed bad tile yields overall, 3/3/3s are really common and that's the minimum I'll build a city on unless I'm desperate. Even see a few 4 essence tiles which are godly.
Try some mods, you'll love them. I suggest: ctly letting you "expand your city outward" to build logging camps and piers. Last game, everywhere I look... halfway decent tiles (never an essence to be found next to a woods, still), but on top of it all "strong" monsters. FU</
Seconded And woods and rivers still act as essence repulsion objects, where you'll NEVER get a good city with essence and access to woods and river tiles I have on rare occasion seen essence by a river or forest tile. It is ridiculously rare though. It seems that any tile by a river or forest has a max yield of 7 instead of 9.
You will occasionally see essence next to a fores
I know you claimed you fixed tile yields in FE 1.2 or whatever (you didn't). But not it's even worse in LH. Endless seas of 2/3/0s and similar crap (at least that's how it was in FE). Now in LH it's very few habitable tiles anywhere, and those that are, suck, hard. And woods and rivers still act as essence repulsion objects, where you'll NEVER get a good city with essence and access to woods and river tiles (especially since you can never build wood mills or piers unless y
Planning on fixing the research trading bug? I see AIs with endgame technology by turn 100, it's re-friggin-diculous.
