Certainly annoying. It happens only if you enter main menu after loading a starting a game. The initial one is okay, but if for whatever reason you enter main menu again (to load or start a new game or whatever) it will happen. So, don't click on main menu again, or restart the game.
It was DLC05, actually. It worked, managed to play a few games but even before mid game, turns take a really long time. Even when set map size to second to largest and only 6 AI, turn times were ridiculously long. I'm gonna go back to base game. Did my own research. Basically, you're screwed if you get the GOG version. No beastlord, no separate leaders DLC pack (no children of the storm mod).
No one knows or is the game dead?
Ok, recently got the gog 2.0 version. I was a huge fan of Fall from Heaven 2 mod so I decided to give this a chance in spite of lukewarm reviews. So, I have two questions about mods: 1) Are any mods considered "essential" before I really delve into the game? 2) I'm reading about how cool can beastlords be, but there is some beastlord bug apparently (in gog version if I understood correctly) - what is it exactly and is there a fix?
