Hello! Windows contains live folders which at least indicate that there are stored files. These files in folders representing 3D file icon/thumbnails: I want to customize Windows to have these icons/thumbnails flat. Is itpossible? Thank you for each help, reply or comment. M
I decided to new clean install of Windows. Miro
So, I added Gadgets, Winstep Xtreme, Mailbird and Actual Window Manager. Again - the same situation - not working Fences + Clipboard shortcuts. So, I uninstalled Actual Window Manager totally 'cause other added entries were no problem in previous installation, AWM is only one new software. But helped not. Now I have both accounts with no working Fences. Is possible only single option Clean Windows fo factory defaults?
Ok, I use created account and will adding item by item from original account to see if problem appears again. So, if, I will see what it does. Of course I'll report it all. Miro
I did test, result was no error. Then no matter of result I started repair, success. Nothing helped, so I did else one time reinstall by purge Fences. Always - folder portals browsing is not possible. And even - I installed newest Fences version and again found problem with clipboard shortcuts in Explorer... When I had older version (3.0.5.12) clipboard shortcuts in Explorer were working. What else is possible to do? Miro
I forgot to write what I did. New account has working Fences browsing - even after enabling all services and startup items, so it looks like no problem anyway. I returned to my normal account and disabled all services incl. Task Scheduler items and Fences browsing works not. So, what to do? Really don't know where is problem. Miro
So, finished - Task Scheduler cleaned, but no result. Here my knowledge is on end. Have anybody idea? Miro
I did it - enabling services and after enabling all of them it works. Then I enabled all startup items and it works. So, I returned to my account and disabled all non Microsoft services and startup items except Fences - works not. So, I think anything is starting by Task Scheduler. So, can it be anything other? I'm crazy for it. Any idea? Miro
So, I did it and Fences are working perfectly. Only one Q: is enough adding startup items one by one and watching what it does? Or it needs also boot config modifying one by one and always reboot? Thank you for helping me. Miro
Ok. But before I do it, I must to say that I installed Fences 3.0.5.12 which were downloaded at buying. Browsing folders works not, but I see that one problem is solved - clipboard shortcuts are working. It looks that's any problem of newer version and maybe compatibility problem too. Or? Miro
De-facto it needs not new account. It needs only to configure options in boot what is easy to do, so please confirm this reply if is it enough. It is also easy to give booting again back, simply by config without new account. Miro
Now I did it. Really works not. Even I found other problem - before reinstall I had problem with Ctrl-X/C/V (cut/copy/paste shortcuts). After uninstalling Fences shortcut problem was solved. After Fences new installation - again shortcut working not! So, there must be any software conflict. So, I have new installation and some settings done. I used new multimonitor software replacing DisplayFusion and it is Actual Window Manager - wallpapers and other problems are away. So, reality is that problem is DisplayFusion. I was sad but at installing and customizing AWM I see that it is much more powerful solution than DF, but I must to say that DF is great software and I was satisfied. Miro

Hello! Yesterday I reinstalled Windows 10.1909 x64 Pro and this evening installed new Fences 3.0.9.11. I imported old snapshot and restored it. First problem was incorrect monitor (I'm using 4 desktops) identification - problem was in monitor number, coordinates were correct in config file.I think this can be fixed in future versions. After correction I was satisfied. Problem began in folder portals. Since I own Fences it was great browsing folders without opening Expl
Whole backup of all incl. layout with option to select what to restore will be really great. Currently I go to reinstall Windows and I hope that I found all locations in system and registry to restore it manually. Miro
Hello! I need to reinstall Windows to new clean installation. I want to install Fences of course again, but I know not about any backup option. Is possible to backup Fences layout? Settings are not so important, this is very fast to configure. I know some locations in AppData folder of Users and also registry entries. But what is really important? I see in registry settings items,but I'm searching for layout. Yet I was not in ProgramData folder. Thank you

So, in DisplayFusion forum I received how to do it and it works not. I want to reinstall Windows 10 after 20H1 update and I'm Looking for DisplayFusion replacement. I found very good solution - Actual Window Manager. I want to be sure before I buy it that is compatible with Fences, so is compatible? Thank you in advance. Miro
Hi! I'm using Fences and DisplayFusion together. For icons and folder portals Fences and for windows and wallpaper handling DisplayFusion. I have multimonitor system - 4 monitors - but new was connected yesterday and problem found. It is old CRT SVGA type with resolution 800x600, other three have 1920x1200 each. Yes - I have with this big problem... I'm using 3 desktops and want to add 4th but to the left side of all three. So, it will move Fences and I have no choice only to manually to correct them - or (I found not yet order in) modify snapshot backup data. Very useful feature can be "send Fence to another monitor" - even problem is when I disconnect monitor by mistake and it does big disorder - after connection helps not always snapshot restoring, if not it needs only cold reset with

I found settings in registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Fences And in directory C:\Users\ \AppData\Roaming\Stardock\Fences\Backups are files with real coordinates. But it is big amount of data and needs to discover it. Maybe can anybody help me to navigate better, or when I will have time I will search for exact rules - coordinates are identified, but big amount of data is 'cause I'm using three desktop pages on three displays - so, it will be not easy

Hello! I have generally personalized Fences on 3 desktops (3 monitors) using three Fences pages. I want to connect 4th monitor to extend workspace. Problem is that this monitor will be connected as leftmost, so all coordinates will adding 1920 pixels horizontally. And I think it will force Fences moving to next monitor. Simply current top left corner has 0,0 pixels and after connection will have 1920,0 pixels coordinates. And even- this will affect also all desktop pag
Else one bug needs fix: Since Windows has dark mode always after Explorer restart it forces Fences labels color to black. I'm using normal mode, don't know how affect this dark and light modes. I need always to open Fences config and set white color for Fences labels. Also - really, we are waiting for release, it can be also beta version, is anything new or planned? Miro
