Yes, it has been in development for a very long time, but sometime last year ( march, I think ) , they decided to cut away a lot of features and redesign the rest, so the whole thing got very..well, inconsistent, if you know what I mean. They got really confused after the re-design, according to some interviews, so one could call that a rushed-out product. - But I like the combat engine when I use that "double ship size" trick and the gofur UI mod. Anyone tried that out? That game can look very ah

Ah, that´s fine !That irritated me somehow - felt like exploting to me if only I did it.
Also been disappointed by MOO III until code patch release. But IMHO, GalCiv is way more SP fun.But I really miss those tactical combats and the ship design feature :( .Anyway, nice to see another Dark Elf Ranger around :HOT: ;) .
A loss scoring 499 (599) ?Strange..every single game I have lost so far scored exactly 23 points, regardless of how many games I have played so far, etc.I wonder what this is supposed to be.Anyway, great idea!I would love to see those other civ´s fighting it out, hopefully resulting in complete destruction of this special Drengin AI that gave me this "21 battleships attacking Sol ( defended by 3 BattleAxe ships ) experience" :)
Hm... speed advantage. Completely forgot about that one :) . Should give it a try next time !
300+ / month.... that makes me think a lot LOL ! btw, been playin the first couple of turns tryin out that balancing issue.... I must say, it´s going A LOT smoother now. Found out that this game can be fun even above "sub-normal" for me :D
Thanks a lot for the advice, bonscott ! Going to try that out now... let´s see if I don´t get my **** kicked this time :) - never thought that one could crank out colony ships in 2 turns during the first phase !
Do you mean minor race homeworlds or those minor races that pop up once in a while ? btw, has anybody ever been able to keep pace with the AI´s speed concerning colonization ? Feeling sooo bad :p
the AI doesn't seem interested in sectors less than 15. (This is normal AI BTW)
Has anybody actually ever seen the AI grabbing <15 PQ planets on higher diff levels ? Is this kind of a bug or do such colonies not really pay off in the long term ?
Concerning the slider allocation - I usually find myself adjusting everything so that that the ratios are evenly split up - I think it is not too bad to have soil enrichment or those banking centres as early as possible. Or does that hinder initial expansion way too much ( as you may have already guessed, newbie posting here ) ?!
