There has been speculation over the years as to whether Frogboy was in fact a real person. Okay, maybe not. But, stay with me. ;) I was on the road working today and decided to stop for some lunch at a McDonald's I saw. Low and behold, below the McDonald's sign there was a pretty small Stardock sign. I didn't know Stardock was based in Michigan. I know I could have read it on the site. Anyway, I thought wh

Hello everybody, I hope everyone is doing well. As many of you know, when I design Cursors I create them in CursorXP so users of XP and FX can use them. CursorFX's description module (dialog) contains fields for author, website, etc.. CursorXP only has a "description" field. The "description" field transfers and populates nicely in CursorFX, via the "Scheme.ini" file in the theme archive. It would make sense that CursorFX themes are also driven

I have noticed that the application, msblast.exe has been clogging my internet connection and causing a fatal exception/reboot of my system. According to my ISP the problem is a vulnerability in Windows OS/possible worm. Microsoft is supposed to be working on a fix. So BEWARE! The Trivial Transfer Protocol is being used to send this file/worm. To check if this file is on your system restart in safe mode, delete the file msblast.exe (Windows/system32), and open msconfig to un

First off, I would use PNG format. It anti-alaises nice and has 256 levels of transparency. This brings us to the Alpha Channel. Since you are using Photoshop get familiar with layers and channels. There are many tutorial sites that have tutorials for basic to advanced procedures in Photoshop. Here are a couple---> http://www.photoshopcafe.com http://www.pslover.com/ http://www.photoshoproadmap.com/ Second, increase your resolution (dpi) on your original images before you resi

First off, you didn't do anything "wrong". The first is the hardest. Keep pluggin' away. Have fun! A couple questions: What format are your original images? What resolution are you original images? Do you resize from larger images? Answer these and I might be able to help you out further. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/hot.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd

I really have no problems with moderation. I think it is a good idea. The only concern I have is when your work is good enough to get through the moderation it still does not show to the general public unless it is "rated" higher than a 6 (wallpapers). Members can filter their views if they don't want to see lower rated works. I believe that often the "rating" has more to do with if the rater likes the person behind the work instead of the work itself. I'm not bashing the rating system. H

Thanks for the post, guys. But, really there was no need. I guess some people get mad if you have a lot of submissions...especially if their work is let's say, standard. A community is a community, web based or otherwise, and people are people. Besides, I usually have a rebuttal for such comments. I

I have a question about animation scripts for cursor XP. I hope somebody can help me with this. How do you make certain frames loop continuously without repeating the line. Example: 1-5,200 6-12,200 6-12,200 6-12,200 etc... I want to know how to make frames 6-12 loop without typing the line over and over again. On one of the recent cursors I made I needed this effect from transition and it caused all kinds of problems with other people's pc's
