Several have posted that maul is overpowered, and I agree completely. It is easy to acquire these weapons, and, once you do, you pretty much own everything that does not have a very high dodge rating. My suggestion would be to make maul come with a penalty. This is supposed to be a form of going berserk, right? Well, how about maul including a loss of control over where the hero goes and who the hero attacks? I think it would ruin maul completely if there were
Very strange. I have played many hours without any significant technical problems. Makes me think that the issues have to do with the game compatibility with specific hardware.
I agree completely. I'd point out that once a hero has a path, the appearance of other paths is labeled as rare, but it is actually very frequent.
As far as I could find, this game concept was not explained. (for example, ring that give wearer +5 spell mastery)
It seems to me that, in the normal course of playing, heroes become extremely powerful while techs, magic, and city builds are still in their infancy. This is partly the speed with which levels are achieved. It's great that a couple levels or so come quickly, but it seems to me that even weak heroes who get a couple +1 damages in during a battle level up after two out of three battles. (Besides which, leveling seems to be very well designed in this game, but it cheapen
I'd second the need for a louder sound (or one that works -- I never heard it) or other clear notification.

Is this working properly. I go in and try to generate large maps with one continent, but I keep getting a bunch of dinky little islands -- but maybe I am missing something.
When champions level up, I am getting the wrong cursor (it's the one used to move units during combat) and it is very difficult to get this cursor to work to make a selection which attribute to raise. Like 5 minutes of fiddling with no way out of the screen. Anyone else having this problem? (I'm using XP) Also, is there a centralized place for reporting bugs like this?
You can also take non fighting type champions along for battles and leave them in the back, out of harm's way. They will level up.
As best as I can see, units heal ONLY in a city??!! I tried leaving them for a turn at an inn, but no healing. Certainly an interesting design decision.
