I like the idea of the floor mechanic. Currently it is too easy to keep the doomsday counter down.

The bad thing here is that these are not all the bugs I encountered. There were more, but I didn't always feel like getting out of the game to write them down. None of the other games I play have so many problems and after past experience I'm not going to buy any other Stardock game.
Here a list of bugs I found in version 1.0. Haven't checked if they are still in 1.01. The game is way to buggy for my taste and some of this stuff is in there since FE. This is way to annoying. When I start a game with 6 rivals (not set to random), go back to the main menu and directly start a new game, without changing the rival setup, the rival settings seem to be ignored sometimes. When I put Coalstones and Flamwave on one item it still doesn't work properly. On death only the Coalstones gets cast.
The tooltip for my hero shows 900 defense from the breastplate and I'm owning 9 shards.

Chaos Volume V Enchantment doesn't seem to work. It says it gives a 10% chance for maul. I put it in 10 slots of my hero's equipment, but he didn't get the maul ability when attacking. I also put Chaos Volume I + VIII and Wrath Master Volume VIII on one of my units. They should cast spells when the unit dies, but that didn't happen. I only saw a text appear over the unit, but no spell was cast.
I mean the Enchantment Volumes I-VIII from the Enchant screen in the forge. The ones you can add to the enchantment slots of equipment.
I chose 8 spell books of one category, but the enchantment volumes did not show up. Was the same with every spell category.
Same with summoning volumes 1, 2 and 3.
With 8 chaos spellbooks I didn't get the volume VII enchantement. I found the CoreItems.xml has a typo. A underscore is appended to the InternalName of BookEnchantment_Chaos7. Look at line 6196, it reads: _ "> Without the underscore the enchantement is available.
I too have regular crashes and I'm too getting more and more fed up with it and how broken the game is in general. I think I have never played a game that is technically of such low quality. I just can not remember a game that has crashed on me so often, has such broken features and many, many small annoyances that take so long to get fixed if they get fixed at all. Does anybody know why I can equip my soilders with the Belt of Speed, but not my heroes? The belt is available for units from turn 1. Shouldn't it also be available for heroes? At least when I research a tech like Charms?
I just tried to read the xml files in data\English via the .NET XML API. Three files where reported as invalid, because there are two root elements. That's not allowed in XML. There can only be one root element for a document. The files are DLC02_Items.xml, DLC03_Items.xml and DLC05_Items.xml. There is always a and a element at the top level.
I just played the quest "The Capstone". I entered the quest with my sov and 8 henchmen. But when I got to the tactical combat map to fight against the spiders, my sov was not placed on the map. He was shown on the combat result screen though and had taken a lot of damage. The same happend to me in the "Varda" quest. When fighting the living statues my sov was not on the tactical map and after the fight he had taken so much damage that he was defeated, despite me winning the fight.

I'd like to add more equipment options to the custom sovereign creation. For example a better weapon of each type, worth 1 point. I want to make use of the existing equipment that is already in the game, so I'd like to have the weapons from the Enchantements technology selectable. I haven't really modded anything so far and have no clue where to start. Can someone point me in the right direction please? Is this mod even possible and what files do I have to edit?
When I create a custom faction+sovereign, the only custom I have so far, and go to the "Customize Opponents" screen in the last step of the game setup, the last faction is missing in the list. In this case it is Verga Reborn. This is not the case when there are no custom faction. I got attacked in a turn in which I built a unit in the attacked city. The unit was correctly placed outside the city and with it the city militia was placed there. Still the city militia was defending the city along with the newly built unit.
I now get this error too, but only once or twice in three hours. It started out of the blue. I played 1.5 without this error until last week.

I just finished the Spell of Making and in the same turn I finished researching a tech. The result was, that I was locked in the reseach dialog. I was not able to close it. I had to kill the game, reload and change to new technology that took longer than the Spell of Making.
I got 6 XP from the quest itself in both cases. As Altar it should be 12.
When I finish the beginners quest that gives the kite shield I get the same amount of XP with or without the Heroic trait. I tried this with Altar and Capitar. In both cases I ended up with the same amount of XP. I checked this in two cheat games. I revealed the map and teleported to the quest. Difficulty was novice/novice. I always got 6 XP for the fight and 6 XP for the quest.
The level 3 mage Arcturus has Mage, Water Apprentice and Fire Apprentice. Shouldn't he have a mage or generals skill at level 3? Does one of the Apprentice count here?
