Agreed. I think it would be fine where it is if you'd turn off the city name or have it appear somewhere else (where it won't interfere with building) when the city is clicked.

I agree completely with the first issue. It just doesn't make sense that upon building another city all resources are instantaneously and automatically shared. It makes a lot of sense that caravans would do that work for the state. This would also provide another level of strategic depth. Right now, so far as I can tell, caravans provide a bonus income, but nothing else (aside from the resulting road speed travel bonus). I agree. I think, if not just rest, inns should play a larger role than just that of a quest giving hub. It seems a little random to me, which I suppose it ultimately is. Rest, perhaps a place to buy items (including some that might not be available at player cities), or perhaps a place to also recruit heroes. Then they may not have to just disappear and respawn two squares down after giving a quest, but could have multiple purposes, perhaps becoming integrated into cities expanding i
Yup... I've had the same issue. A tile, innocently looking like iron ore, turns out to be wildflowers. There are no ore producing tiles yet, so far as I can tell.
