I keep running into not enough tiles to settle on. I have to travel nearly half the map to maybe get to my 3rd city. Are we not suppose to get any more than 3-5 settlements on a medium map with 5-6 ai opponents? Even so, the placement areas are just waaaaaaay too far apart and rare at that. What's the use of scouts if there's nothing really to scout for? Then when I do find some tiles they are 4/3/0's w

It's also possible to win at Civ 5 on deity regularly if not consistently, go have a look at civ fanatics: there are contests to win deity on all sorts of maps sizes with plenty of AI opponents and standard settings, and quite a few players win a lot. But, in HOMM who really ever took the experience choice over increasing one of their characters traits? I rarely did and only if the other skill presented was something I wasn't going to levelup in. At any rate I am asking for an OPTION just like Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri has. You can go with seeing everything or you can go with blind pick of a particular catagory and never know what you were going t

Even though I didn't get 1 in this game I certainly like exploring for them instead of them being handed to me on a silver platter. That's the WORST idea they've had imho. Why screw the fun of exploration up like

Wolves and spiders were two separate random entities out on the map running around then after several turns they GROUPED with one another and continued to run around....is this WAD?

I hit one of their leaders and hardly took a dent out of him with a Critical of 29 and then he comes over and wipes out my archer unit with a critical of 32 and he was BLINDED! That's just bogus man just bogus. Hard is like only one difficulty above challenging

There is one guranteed within 4 tiles of starting spot, it is guranteed to be less than 150 gildar and one starts with 150 gildar. Only way would be to waste that 150 for rushing. Getting attacked by roaming monsters is also tied to difficulty. So if you were playing challenging or below the chance modifier could have changed to lower when you reloaded. They really should put a save seed into the save files for things like this. Because if there's a way to exploit the players will surely find it and use it. Also remember there are two difficulty settings for each game. The first one you select is for the wilds and roaming monsters, t

I didn't even get 1 champion in my latest game and I had them set to lots. I did see 1 but I didn't have enough gildar to buy it and by the time I did it was gone (gloom despair and agony on meeeeeee). The AI swept through the lands and got all of them in less than 100 turns if not less than 50. :( Either that or roaming bands of bandits and monsters ate them? As a consolation though I got two of those love

Is there an exact formula? It looks like military units is part of it, but, not necessarily by their "power" but just by having X amount of units? I also notice even though I don't lose any units it goes up and down per turn which is strange. It doesn't change a whole lot but it does go up and down about 4pts per turn sometimes. I also notice that the AI's I have set just a difficulty above challe

I have now encountered this "bug" using a "custom" built character with the Kraxis character type. She basically never moved and never built a starting settlement. The only time she moved and that was just one square was when I declared war on her in an agreement with another faction. Which also leads to an exploit. You can use these non-settling factions as balancers to get another faction to start a war with someone else. She was worth like 400gildar. I used

While food is a primary function of increasing growth your Faction Prestige also counts toward gaining new citizens from the Wiki description I found: Faction Prestige is a measure of the pull your nation has towards drawing in new citizens. The more prestige you have, the more POPULATION you will get each turn in your cities. Keep in mind that gains from your Faction Prestige are SPLIT EVENLY amongst all your

You could move them manually for 10 turns, set them to guard, but as soon as you look away, they are off exploring again. But clicking explore a second time usually turns it off. I also certainly vote for evolving FE and not start over with something else. When you start over with something else you kill the older game much like you did Elemental : War of Magic (nobody is going to play that anymore now that elemetal : Fallen Enchantress is out with much improved everything. Adding to FE is definitely the way to go like Galactic Civ II with it's "expansions" It's still Galactic Civ I

Well I've heard stories about how the humaans beat the diety level of Civilization and it wasn't fair at all. They play on a SMALL map with ONE AI opponent and RUSH over and eliminate it before it has time to progress. TO me that's hardly beating the Diety level of difficulty. Nope, until you have beaten DIETY with ALL AI OPPONENTS on the MAP at the same time then you haven't beaten it you&#39
