Funny thing is, if the Cowboys hadn't lost all 3 of their last games they shouldn't have, the Giants wouldn't even be in the playoffs.

Are we going to have another scandal with the halftime show? They cussed. It was sort of mumbled, but not really. Also I think Madonna lip sync'ed at least part of it. The sound mix was a bit too perfect. She is singing and doing athletic dance moves--as a 53-year-old--and didn't miss a single inflection. Cee Lo's voice sounded real, though. You can tell the difference in the sound quality. Bette
I wouldn't, as a matter of fact, unless you believe becoming ashes, a bar of soap or a lamp shade would constitute "doing well". I suggest you change that personal insult (by innuendo) quickly. When you know nothing of the person you're dealing with, implying such an association is at best risky, and at worst a TOS violation.
Being Jewish does not necessarily preclude one from being fascist. Although I'm not saying YOU are fascist, I am s
Sure, science writers know something about science. They just don't know much about writing. [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Guys, developers are going to get peeved if you try to micromanage the development. They have to bite their tongue a lot because you're customers. Being a Stardock customer, I know what I would want: I just want to know that I am being heard. A "no, we're not going to do that" is more palatable for me than no answer at all--at least, so long as I'm comfortable that they understand exactly what I'm asking. At times I t
It's reverse psychology. Those who believe in Revelation tend to believe chip implants are heralding the end of the world, and to those who do not believe that, the idea that chip implants will bring about the end of the world is just silly, to the tune of the Hale-Bob cultists, the Mayan calendar ending the world in 2012, Rev. Harold Camping preaching the world would end in 2011, and the Jehovah's Witnesses saying the world would end in 1914, 1918, 1925 and 1975
You know how the saying goes: it's not paranoia if people really are out trying to get you.
Please voice your opinion and with any luck, if the community gets behind the idea, Brad and co may spruce up the place a little bit.
Will do. You make a very good point, and I agree with you on all counts. GC2 has some very good art and even better music. Putting a background image in the .css is not rocket science, and it will pay off big and may even help spur on a renaissance of GC2.
Actually? 1984.
No, 2004. The RedNeck is correct. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6237364/ns/health-health_care/t/fda-approves-computer-chip-humans/ The FDA already approved chip implants back in 2004, when we had all these same debates/discussions.
Patriots. They were stronger all season, Peyton Manning's got all the stuff going on and it might be a distraction for Eli, and the Giants stole a championship from them once already. It won't happen again.
This is news? The FDA approved computer chips for humans almost a decade ago, and ADSX stock soared to like $4 a share on the news. Now ADSX got bought out and I don't know what became of the chip. This must be FDA approval for another chip.
That rules out just about everything after Jaws. Which thankfully includes everything by Adam Sandler.
The closest thing to sci fi by Adam Sandler I know of is probably Fast Forward. Which interestingly had a nice life lesson in it. In some respects Fast Forward was idiotic, but that one meaning about "don't fast forward in life" was deep. Of all the movies out there with the depth of a kleenex, I don't think that
"The best battle scene" is a good subject (probably deserves a thread of its own entirely), but doesn't ring a bell for me. I think I only saw 3/4 of Aliens. But it sure looks like Alien(s) inspired the Terran Marines in Starcraft. (Starship Troopers had aliens being shot at with automatics, too, but I don't think it was the inspiration)
and the spaceship battles were more audience-engaging than anything previously seen at the time
I have to agree. From the very moment of the opening battle scene (where they blow open the door and board Leia's tiny vessel), I was hooked. Actually, for a long time I thought the opening battle scene was the best. And then the Star Wars video game came out.... Then of course I liked assaulting the Death Star better. The s
Maybe I haven't thought hard enough, but it seems that you can only prove the existence of God, since I don't know how it is possible to prove the nonexistence of anything.
This is a well-known philosophical enigma, and it's called a noseeum argument. There's also a legal term for it, I forget. Plenty of theistic debates go on and on about this principle. In law, it's basically that you can prove you were not at such-and
I will chime in and say that, your a brainwashed zombie of plinketts because you would have never said that if he hadnt. You used his exact phrase. How do we know that those are even your own opinions? Plinkett could have sent you one of his mind controlling pizza rolls. We cannot trust you.
First off, if you are already stooping to calling people names over STAR WARS, you need to either get over Star Wars or get over yourself. Who's the brainwashed pers
I will chime in and concur that the prequels sucked, but the worst was Episode I. An obvious attempt to reel in 12-year-olds. Then it gradually got better in II and III, but never did it hold a candle to the original. The so-called "love affair" between Amidala and Anakin was less than believable at best. The light sabres reflecting back lasers at their shooter was cheesy. The battles have everyone out in the wide open shooting each other--I mean, are those laser
No need to share your "new & enlightened" definitions of atheism. Everybody knows what atheism is. People have long known that long before the internet ever existed. Although I'm sure there is probably a new religion out there composed of younger folk who believe the internet is God and always existed, before the beginning of Time. They might be a pair of them knocking on your door soon.
Let's see...atheism is the belief there is no god. How can you believe in Jesus when you believe there is no god? That is patently absurd. OMG the IQ of this thread is a few notches below that of a toaster.
Do you know what if any religion the atheists in this thread are practicing?
Atheism. This is not rocket science.
I know plenty of Christians who are also atheists.
I doubt it.
One point I would say has been proven loud and clear in this latest "discussion": that there can be atheist religious zealots, just like any other religion (and atheism IS a religion--in the same way zero is a number). People whose anger and dogma exceeds their IQ. Christianity, Islam, etc....they by no means have a monopoly on religious extremists.
Always it seems with Christian folk, stupid, simple and unquestionable as expected.
This is not okay. The mods have been very lenient allowing an openly religious thread to go on for this long, but when you start openly insulting groups of people like that (some of whom are Stardock customers, by the way...), that privilege may very well be revoked.
I like PHPBB for its extensibility. I never use it out-of-the-box.
Where to start ... sure wish I had the wherewithal to undertake such a foolish endeavor ... but I don't. You must have mistaken me for someone who cares about god or his/your book. Sorry ... because the whole book is bogus as it is foundationally wanting and void of proof and even common sense. So I don't care for one part any more than another. Why don't you instead explain why you feel you have the moral authority to pick and choose ... that was the real question?[/
How about you just pick? Pick the part of the Bible you wish to disprove, and disprove it.
