If you are frustrated with this issue then there is a solution.....at least one which enables you to have a forcastable weather docklet in your OD. This is a link for Sysstats 2.5.11: actually a really cool program ,by Judge, that allows you to add docklets such as CPU, battery, calander and weather to OD. The weather docklet is one that Ive used for ages and it even provides a 3 day forcast (though not in fly-out form). Just follow the instructions to install the plugin and wea

to elaborate...... to suggest that someones skin is undserverving of respect wthin the community is, to me, kind of defeating te purpose of this site. Sure, there may be skins that we personally dont like but it still desrves respect in the fact that it may be a serious attempt by an individual to create something that they wish to share. Offer some suggestions of how you think it could be better improved to bring it up to a standard which you yourself would find accep
HOLY TOLEDO BATMAN!!!!! CANT WAIT!
Its highly probable that Shanghai may belong to another country according to this server.....maybe try Australia.
Fuzzy Logic.....thanx a million...but I have to say to Stardock that u gys should perhaps use a weather server that at least knows what city belongs to what country.....ridiculous. Fuzzy, again thanks!
If anyone could post the appropriate code input for Taipei, Taiwan I'd appreciate it. Thnx in advance....hope all this gets sorted out soon.
Won't update for meeither (Taipei, Taiwan). I hope this issue is fixed soon as I am used to having a weather docklet....even the older form without flyouts would do. As it is now, just cant even get it to update like the older version always reliably could and would.
Mate.... I downloaded this and had a look..... I have to say u did an amazing job on this tutorial and you can see how much time and thought u put into it. You explain the basic functions of SS fantastically and this is a perfect tutorial for getting to know your way around SS and the handy tips u give are great! All I can say is...amazing work and thanks so much for posting this link; Im sure it will be greatly appreciated by the community. I'm a fan of ur design work and once a
Just wondering if by chance 1.6 will have an option to adjust the overall transpancy on all docks? I have bright doc images and sometimes i just wanna tone down the transparancy without having to alter all my PNGs. Any news there? Thnx a million...cant wait for the Alpha.
Ive been using PSP for like 10 years now..ever since v4. Currently I use v7.04 AE, and, having used Photoshop as well, my thoughts are that there isnt much u cant do in PSP that u can do in Photoshop. The secret is PLUGINS. Get urself a good set of plugins and learn how to use them....and a fair majority of the plugins that are used in PS are also compatable with PSP. I must admit that at first glance PSP looks not nearly advanced as PS, but after I spent time to look into how to use P
M two cents. I skinned my first and only real windowblinds theme, 'Dark Industry' about like 2 years ago now...and it was really popular. Even now the DextopX theme and windowblinds of this still get a steady stream of downloads. How I did it? I got a skin i liked and basically figured it out myself through tinkering and 'reverse engineering; (how else to do it considering the abismal documentation on SS at the time). Once I got
From the sounds of the article, i get the feeling that the push towards future skinning is going to be focussed on Vista. I for one, due to price and software/hardware compatability issues and demands am not going to be buying or installing Vista any time soon. I still think that in 6 months time, XP users will still far outnumber the Vista users; and if the push to revitalise skinning is priarily focussed on Vista during that time, thats go
Hi guys. I have just installed Office 2007 onto XP and it looks great except for one thing....the main titlebars wont skin.Im using WB v 5.01 and wondering why the main windows wont skin to the themes i use. Ive seen pictures of this app with the Aero look and heard that Office 2007 titlebar does make use of the glass effect in Vista. Just wondering if I'm stuck with the default 3 titlebar skins on Xp or is there a way to get those titlbars to skin under Windowbli
Thanks guys for your help. Inge18....yes, I can use the Nvideo desktop manager to stretch the existing taskbar....thanks so much for that piece of info, as it was one of the main elements I really need. Cheers all.
Hi guys, Just about to install a dual desktop and was wondering what is the OD support for Dual desktop from the same computer....a few points I would like to know.... a. Will windowblinds extend its skinability to the windows on the added monitor? b. Can I use gadgets on the new monitor? c Will the Object Dock standard bar extend itself to the new monitor? d. Can I use Sysmetrix on the new monitor? e. Does IconX have support for Dual displ
The erosion of civil liberties has already begun and like in nature, once erosion has begun, its pretty much irriversable. A vast majority of people have already been satisfied to sacrifice some civil liberties in the cause of 'The war on Terrorism'....'The Faceless Enemy!'... The doors are wide open..... Your enemy don't need a face now....it can be whoever or whatever your government decides in order to effectively and subjectively 'pro
Firstly, I wish to say my heart goes out to all the people affected by the September 11 tragedy. Any war will have its 'casualties' and you can bet your boots that the war was already going on between America and the Muslim fundamentalist groups well before the date of 9/11...if you know anything about the Middle Eastern/American Global political history, thats a given. These people were the casualties of an already existant warfare. Personal
Thanyou Zero for taking the time and effort to explain things so clearly. Hope to hear more from you on how to skin like a true pro.
Laughable...They might need it after the EFF and FTC get through with them. I hope they find didly-squat! NO..better still.. I hope they inadvertently strike a huge elepant oil reserve on that property and have no rights to it....that would be wonderful!
BTW.. I came across this interesting and thought-provoking article some time ago 'Piracy and Unconventional Wisdom' . link: http://www.codeproject.com/gen/design/UnconventialWisdom.asp?df=100&forumid=58772&exp=0&select=1196103
Well pointed out PC guy!! I too, stand 100% by your concerns. More people should definately speak out about this issue. If not enough people start to educate themselves about this nastly not-so-little internet conglomorate and actively pursue its invesigation, then civil liberties as we know them will be a thing of the past.....thats is if they aren't deteriorated enough already. Considering that the disclosure of logs by the AOL was wrong, the EFF is
Maybe more time should be spent using the programs than researching and posting to forums and talking to people and reading heaps of things than worrying about how the program is activated. Do something creative with the programs like they were meant to be used and leave it at that. The rest of that stuff is all philosophical bulls***ing, a waste of time, and will accompli
OMG. You Americans are being tagged like sheep...SCAAAAARY!
Thanks Jafo. Maybe Stardock should team up with Microsoft and teach them a thing or two about implimenting an activation process that is unobtrusive and user-friendly.
