Up to now no TBS like CIv really featured what happed in the real world. First of all communicatons and alarge empires. the bigger an empire got the harder it was to control simply because humans tend to follow there own ambitions. Rebellions whre constant in the old roman empire and other empires. LAst but not least lines of succesors family infights etc. most empires destroy themselves from within or corruption startws to set in. Usally an outside occurence is only the last strike to
