Problem in campaign game in Galactic Civilizations II GalCiv2 Forums

I have tried twice to play the first mission in the campaign and twice been stopped cold by bugs. BUG: I spent all my money upgrading all my ships. I have been trying to play the first scenario of the campaign and have come to a screeching halt because of bugs twice now. It's quite frustrating.
