Also, when I finished I was not online and was not given an option to upload the score. So I got online and restored the game and finished the last turn (a tech victory of about 700+ points). This time I was given the option of uploading my score and I did. A few minutes later I checked both my individual and empire score. Neither has this third game included. I have repeated the process several times to no avail.

I just spent two weeks playing a huge universe game and now I can't seem to get the score uploaded. I did not have any trouble with my two previous submissions. Is something going on with the website or the Metaverse?
I can't believe they were so inept as to close the thread. They cannot stifle free speech, it simply spreads to other places. By trying to squash it they guarantee interest and lend credence, if any were needed, to inferences in the censored posts. After 30 years in business I still cannot get over these youngsters making such a basic PR gaffe over and over. Pathetic. Someone should be fired. They have a big enough fiasco on hand without this kind of mistake.
I dislike the UP. I dislike the concept of the UP. The UP style feature of the MOO series was one of its weakest points and the reason I gravitated to other games. The only reason to tolerate it in GalCiv is that it was implemented in a superior fashion. It meets too often. If any modification is contemplated, make it user-adjustable with an option to eliminate it entirely.
How about "Arkaens"?
"Where the leave button should be, it says "no string found". I am getting the same thing. PS I am really discouraged. That blasted AI keeps creaming me....just what I have wished for for years, as long as it does not cheat! And it appears that it does not, at least not down on my level :-)

Thanks, Shoujo. The latest patch might make some of the governments a bit more attractive, too.
Bump. Yes, I want to know, too!!
Metaverse Scoring: With one game done and a grand scor of almost 300 points, I look forward to a scoring system that: 1. Includes all games played, win or lose. 2. Some bonus for winning. 3. Takes into account galaxy size, difficulty level, time to victory, and empire size and assets. 4. With the potential for hundreds of empires I want to see LOTS of empires on the map, not just the top few. This should be on a larger map, perhaps one that must be scrolled. Also, perhap
That is good to hear, but your comment is the only mention of it that I have seen anywhere.
Maybe there is a problem between the names when I registered and the names for the Metaverse empire?
I figure we did not ever get our score uploaded. This is an area badly in need of documentation and automation aimed at a programming illiterate audience.
Uh huh.....well I was not connected to the net when I finished the summary screen. How do I get back to it and submit my score?
Will someone please post a step-by-step for this. It is not intuitive and there is no "upload" option on any screen I have seen in the Metaverse or on my Empire screen (the one I created in the Metaverse). None of the metaverse related threads have dealt concisely with this.
"Evil is growing..." , Yeah, I had that happen in the only game I was winning. Sigh..... Be ready. I wasn't and I had to surrender (i.e. start over since this silly interface has no surrender option).
Yep, heppened to me, too. I wound up having to re-start after the Dragonin revolt wiped out half of the galaxy with BBs and DNs.....fast.
Thanks, but I finally figured it out. This was an unecessarily frustrating experience. The system is really nice, but there is no explanation of it. In the Stardock website download section it would have been so simple to say "Run Stardock Central. Press the Drengen tab. The progams are listed, both the version on your machione and the latest available. Dbl click to update." This would have saved me two hours. And I still would like to know why manually downloading and then running the executabl
Just what is Stardock Central and what is it supposed to do? I downloaded the 1.1 Patch/bonus pack via IE. There was some unintelligible blurb about using SC to do the update but absolutely no hint on how that was to be done. I installed and ran SC, it updated itself and then sits there....no access to anything related to GalCiv...can't access the download residing on my PC or the internet. So I try to execute the 6.8 meg download....Instant PC freeze requiring a hard re-boot. I am running a 1.8
