I like the idea of the Starport build queue for larger ships and the production coming from the planets within it's radius. As the game proceeds I find myself with a few small planets scattered about which have production capability and no spare hexes on the planet surface. It would be nice to be able to shift production resources via a trade route between the planet and a relevant Starport. The rate at which Starport production would be boosted could depend on spare planetary production

#1 The planet/ship list below the minimap quickly fills up with entries. I found myself scrolling through and having to search for newly built ships and those that were idle. I suspect from the layout that there will be some default filters added later in the same way as the 'Available Projects' list on the planet screen. What would be nice is perhaps a custom user filter. Allow the user to show a number of combined filtering options e.g. Idle & New ships, Discovered uninhab

I agree with your view on the single build queue. Whilst I like the circular slider on the 'Govern Planet' screen an additional linear slider to adjust bias between a planetary and starport build queues would be preferable.

It is a nice design overall but its too clean and perfect. Some dust/dirt and imperfections are needed. It would be good if the look of a ship changed over time to reflect its age. If you have had a ship hanging about from the start of the game it should look a little worn out by the end.

What kind of Keyboard do you have? If its one of the fancy multimedia types where you can customise the extra buttons it could be the driver thats at fault. An updated driver (if available) my be worth a shot.

If you assume that at the end of a units turn (out of movement points) that is has to drop out of hyperspace before beginning a jump on the next turn, then nebula can be taken into account. If you passthrough a nebula over the course of one turn you are not effected. If you end a turn in it your ship takes any damage/has limited sensor range etc and will continue to do so each turn until the nebula is exited.

Sounds like it could be a power supply issue. I had a failing psu and when the system was booting up all the drives it would crash at the same point. My guess is that when your systemis heats up your fans draw more current (along with whatever the gfx card draws) and might be tripping the PSU reset.

I think you have answered your own question there. If you want to run graphics settings at a higher level a better card is the solution you are looking for.

I was very pleased to have my copy of GC2 pop through the letter box at 9:30 am. It was only posted at 4:30pm yesterday and I had kinda given up hope of seeing it before monday. The link below will allow you to convert your collectors edition number to a serial number. Link
