DirectX isn't recognizing your video card. Can you update your drivers (it's showing your current drivers are over 2 years old). Please let us know if you still see this after your drivers are updated.
There are 2 numbers you need. The first is the steam activation, which gets it installed and on your computer. The 2nd is the product key. To get that right click on Fallen Enchantress in your steam library and select the "View CD Key" option. That's the key you need to enter in the Stardock activation dialog. @[TAI] Sean: I've checked out your debug log, it doesn't indicate an error. I'm a bit confused by your OP. Are you saying that the hang/crash only happens when you start the game when you have window focus on something else? Does it start normally if you start it in focus? Is it losing window focus when it starts? Do you have any video recording software running (fraps, etc)?
We support 64bit Windows. In fact we prefer it, everyone on the team is running 64bit. We are a 32bit process but 64bit operating systems can run 32bit applications (the opposite isn't true). Most of the applications you and I are running on our 64bit OS's are 32bit applications.

I blame your unit designs. In all seriousness it may be that since you have duplicate unit designs to the ones that are now in the game it is causing an issue. I had worried about that but I changed the internal name of all of them to try to keep that from happening. Hmmm... Could you try renaming your "My Games\Fallen Enchantress\" directory to "My Games\Fallen Enchantress.old" to see if it fixes it?

I've gone through everything you have done, merged in the typos and I'm looking at a few of the balance changes for future updates. Thanks for all the great work! It's actually pretty tough to have the game be modable, but I'm so glad we did when we see people doing things like this to improve and make the game their own.

How are you saving, do you mean if you quick save while the levelup screen is up?
:) As the guy who we thank in the change notes you have more of a reason to ask than anyone. Since we haven't pushed the patch public I want the majority of our players (who havent tried the beta patch) to have a single place to go to for all the changes. So the 1.3 changelog is a work in progress as we update and add fixes.
We have updated the beta patch in the first post to include all the latest fixes, be sure to check it out and let us know if you have any issues (by posting a bug in the Support forum please).
