And yes you should get the Collectors Edition with all the goodies... (somehow EditPost doesn't work so I had to make a new post for this)
wrote this in another thread but I think it fits better here: "A quick question regarding us E.U players (Sweden more precisly). If I were to buy it from Stardock now (gotta support the developer. you know ) would I get the "preorder" bonus or am I out of luck and can E.U citizens get the packaging, cd:s and manual sent to us as well? If so, will I have to pay extr
A short question to StarDock: When will the CD preorders ship? I ordered directly from you, got the temporary serial and preloaded the game so I'm in no hurry. Just curious on when to expect a nice box to add to my game shelf...
People who preordered from us will be able to get the game digitally via Stardock Central by late after noon EST (that's night time in Europe). Argh! This means I have to sit before my PC this evening and wait until the last files of GC2 pop up in SDC. By the time they do it's probably time to turn in... <img src="smiles/SadAngry.gif" bo
I always take GalCiv 1 with me on my labtop on business trips. And I will (hopefully) do the same with GalCiv 2 - Civ 4 doesn't run because of some video issues (and getting new video drivers for a 2 year old notebook is nearly impossible).

probably the stardock program will take care of the extra content itself. I guess it will be the same as with the GC1 Bonus Pack, it'll just pop up as an option in SDC.
Downloaded about half of the game now (from Germany). Had to restart Movies, though - got an error during download/installation (-19 connection closed by the server, followed by -18 HTML code detected and then a couple of more -19 errors). I'll try again and see if the error hits me again... </TABL

I hate copy protection that invades my system. I hate copy protection that burns out my sensitive drive. But I see the need. I just wish there were better mechanisms. Is convenience really for the wealthy only? If I shell out 50 bucks for a game (and I don't think this is cheap - even if I can afford a couple of games per month) why do I have t
Well, as it is my money they want they'd better stop using crap protection like StarForce on their games... I agree, but only to a point. For each person like you who doesn't purchase a game because of Starforce, there are 10,000 people who don't care. The people that don't buy their products aren't stopping anyone but themselves from playing games that they wou
@Citizen DarkTalon : You're killing me! I think I'll print your post and pin it right above my gaming machine! And I have to say that I fully agree with the topic starter!
The bottom line to me is that you have to put up with some crap in this imperfect world. If you're so adamant about not having anything on your computer that you don't want, okay, don't install certain games. But that WILL NOT stop people from making games with that crap in them. Well, as it is my money they want they'd better stop using crap p
Frogboy your post was hillarious! I will provide the occasional "It works for me" and "Modem users are whiners" comments for the mentioned threads. -DocDVD Dude everyone uses a modem to connect. Ok, essentially right - but "analogue dial-up 56kBit modem users" is to much to write... *lol</f
Well, seems I made the right choice when I preordered directly from Stardock - I may have to pay custom taxes but at least I get the real deal... If you can't confirm that play.com carries the Collectors Edition, why don't you cancel the order there and preorder at Stardock?
Single Player to the core. So I', glad that there are still companies out there who don't jump blindly on the Multiplayer bandwagon!
Stardock Central is basically like their Steam. Argh! Please don't compare SDC with Steam - I hate Steam and it was the sole reason I didn't buy HL2. Online Verification to play the offline part??? No way I ever submit to these practices. Thats what I like about StarDock - they don't hassle you with copy protection instead they rewar
