This is hands-down the best new desktop application I've seen in the last year! Congratulations to Jeff, Stardock, and the rest of those responsible for Fences' development, publishing, and distribution!

@ Neil -
Honestly, I haven't tried it on the notebook's LCD yet. I'll give that a shot and see if there's any difference.
No luck on the standalone notebook, either. I get the same problem running at 1440 x 900. Also, for what it's worth, I disable my desktop icons to get the .Dream running. After minimizing a full-screen window, the .Dream is gone and replaced with a solid-color desktop. Any ideas?
@ Neil Banfield:
Do you have just the one monitor enabled and what resolution are you using? Also are you in 32 bit colour depth?
The laptop is connected to a port replicator with only the external (primary) display active at 1600 x 1200 resolution, 32-bit depth. Honestly, I haven't tried it on the notebook's LCD yet. I'll give that a shot and see if there's any difference.
Having trouble with Deskscapes 2.5. I'm able to load the .Dream files, but when I opt to use any of them (normal or dynamic) my icons disappear and are replaced by diagonal colored lines which run the width of the screen. Disabling my desktop icons corrects the display issue, but I'd prefer if the program worked as intended. Any thoughts? OS: XP SP3 Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon x2300 128MB, PCIe Most recent drivers installed Direct X 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
It looks like the WindowBlinds update is available on Impulse. I d/l'ed it, rebooted, and the animation is working like a charm in XP Pro SP3 when it wasn't before. Much obliged, Stardock and WB team! Thanks!
Wow! I don't usually comment on the MyColors themes, but this one is sick! I love the start menu animation and the icons are perfect. You guys have outdone yourselves this year! (But if we could see a coordinated Dream, that would be the icing on the cake!)
Simply put... WOW! Very clean, streamlined design. I love what I see so far. Can't wait for the full launch!
WinCustomize does allow fan art... You should upload the icons. Okey dokey. I'll try again! THanks for the info.
Why don't you post them here? I tried to post the DC pack, but it didn't make it through moderation. I know the WC folks are a little touchy about copyrighted material, as are each of these logos. Oh, well! You can't blame a guy for trying to pay homage to the characters he loves... Especially if it's done in a private use, not-f
Hey, all! I've posted two wallpaper packs and icon sets at DeviantArt for my fellow comic book fanboys (and girls). The first set is from the DC Universe and covers the logos of the original Justice League and the logo from the modern Robin character. The other set spawns from the Marvel Universe. Each wallpaper pack contains eight 1600x1200 walls (nine including the preview). The icon sets include eight icons each in sizes up to 256x256x16M. These were all made from scratch with
The program and the theme will not be deleted when the trial period runs out. The program will just stop working. But take it from the legions of Stardock faithful that are out there: Purchasing WindowBlinds, IconPackager, any of their individual programs or the entire ObjectDesktop suite is one of t

WMP11 Beta is available for public download from windowsmedia.com as of today! I just installed it, and it's leaps and bounds better than version 10. I agree that if you don't like the online stores, don't use them. The install asks if you'd like to set up URGE or not, so you can always choose not to install it. I've always used WMP10 as my primary player, albeit with a little hesitation, but ver. 11 seems to make it a no-brainer. <img sr
That was just wrong on sooooo many different levels. Touche.
Jesus Christ. That's what my dad called me all the time anyway! What's the strangest thing you've ever found between your couch cushions?
Simply put: Wow . Everyone involoved in the WB5 Beta project deserves to be commended. I primarily use WB (and the rest of OD) on my business laptop to make my coworkers think that I'm some sort of genius. One can get used to the "Oh my god! How did you do that? Can you get mine to look like that? You're so smart!" comments... Thanks, SD! Anyway, WB5 beta works like a dream. The alpha blending, the pixel smoothing, the o
Since he was last made note of holding his Dads head in II, then no mention in III or IV, then comes out of nowhere in V Actually, Boba Fett did make an appearance in Episode IV, he was included in a scene originally deleted from the film but added again by Lucas for the 1997 Special Edition. In the sc
There's no contest. Of course Vader would win. Spidey's a comic book character. Darth Vader's a real guy!
For what it's worth, count me in. I'll sign and throw in a few bucks if I have to.
