I make pioneers, send them to a location, but a few turns later if I load the game, the pioneers disappear. I think this is related to the series of bugs where the game selectively rewinds when I save, so my saves never load at the precise moment where I saved. Please advise.
This happened in 1.6, but I thought the 1.7 Beta patch would fix it - it did not. Basically, when I enter this dungeon fight with a hoarder spider, it freezes when the spider summons spiderlings. The debug.err link is here: http://pastebin.com/Ekwn60Tk Thanks.
1 champion with 100% fire resistance (athicans+dragonhide cloak+nature cloak) and a horse. This champ should have enough defense/hp to survive 1 and ideally 2 hits. Either the heal spell or first aid is necessary. Must have higher initiative than dragon (not hard with haste). 50 dodge would be very helpful (not hard with the air spell). Reap would be helpful.
