Honestly if the NPCs were to cast something like Curgen's volcano, even rarely.. you should have some method of at least having a chance to counter the spell? I realize you can do the conclave level 5 specialization bonus.. but other than that..?

Yeah, I find the water 'tree' to be pretty awesome, but somewhat situational.
I was thinking kinda.. that it'd be badass if you could essentially create a circle of 4-5 cities that, with heavily snaking essentially create a 'Caravan style" defense around your capital. Or block off a mountain pass. I like setting up defensive stuff.. I'd love to see more in this game along those lines. Being able to stand on the ramparts of the castled / fortress cities with your units would be nice. Having the enemy required to have some seige equipment to tak
I've seen that error where AI can do this as well.
I think something should be in the game to protect resources and / or areas. Granted you do have the outposts and their ability to hinder movement with caltrops.. but more would be nice. I'm beginning to like this parrotmath dude. Edit: looking at the description.. it does more than allow logging camps/ piers then?
Yeah, Game issue. I have a pretty 'boss' level machine and it.. yeah. it does that too. Also, its not a HDD access issue either, at least I don't think it is.. I have an SSD drive.. which usually avoids those types of things.
Is it just me? or does City snaking seem somewhat limited? It seems you can only initially do it of your main tile, obviously, but after you're forced into, I think.. 2 subtiles per side of that tile? Am I missing something? Does someone know the rules for this better than me, and can give 'tips' on snaking?
They could make it so your end of turn doesn't work the first time you click it? Like if one of your cities become idle.
So this 1.4 patch notes. It says unreleased. Are you looking for more bugs / errors to correct before releasing it? (hence the post before the release?) Or Are you posting it because it'll be distributed soon, via steam?
This might not be a 'bug' per se, but it sure is wickedly annoying... When you finish researching a technology you get the tech screen even if you are in the middle of other things... Could the tech screen be represented with a popup on the side of the screen rather than a 'in your face' approach which currently occurs? I'm relatively certain others would agree here?
From what I've noticed, the city defense garrison only kicks in on the first combat of each siege of a given city. After that, -I think- it drops down to the 9 maximum, barring of couse in-tactical summon spells.
Its a 2/3/5 location.
Defending multiple areas in this game, while also maintaining a healthy income.. isn't necessarily easy from what I've seen. So keeping multiple militaries on file, depending on your location, at least as a novice to the game doesn't appear easy. But yeah, the Militia doesn't seem to upgrade armor - I noticed some weapons increase, probably the hammers you mentioned. Also, very preliminary but.. Doesn't the city defenses
hmm what you just described - hammer weapons upgrade.. others don't.. almost makes it sound like a bug and / or configuration issue.
Are they? Mine seemed to suck.. but perhaps they don't get the training upgrades or the City enchantment mods? hmm.
The title pretty much says it all. I'm referring to ways to do it without editing XML files etc.
I'm not a battle hardened veteran of this game yet but: Some things that I'd consider 'staple' for a genre such as this, but don't see in the game: "template abilities" i.e. all summons have X, or all constructs have X abilities. How about 'absorb' damage of the same element? I do see some immune out there. Undead is another great template... half damage from piercing? full damage from blunt? etc. Ranged miss chance based on terrain. T
I think the maps from the map pack DLC are 'fixed' maps. (looking at it now) I've literally seen the exact same tile setup. in the pictures on the map pack store page. as far as 2/2/5? - No, I think it was better than that. I'll have to check when I get home. At work til 5.
Sure, I can get one when I get home. I didn't even think they existed. I guess the max for it might be the same as it is for the other two resources? And I can't say for certain I nkow what the max is.. I've seen 6 for materials before. thats the highest so far. I believe I used the "Wild Lands" Map type from the Map Pack DLC. Its probably 3 tiles away from the Imperium wildlands.
I've been playing the game for about 2 weeks. A few days ago I found one with 4 Essences, and today one with 5. I guess those are pretty rare eh? I also noticed the city didn't have enough icons to hold the image of the 6th slot (from scrying pool) , in the overhead view.
