I will occasionally use camera rotation on tactical maps when units are obscured by buildings or fixtures making them difficult to find, target or activate. I would give up the ability if confident I could manipulate all units in every battle successfully without it.

Except that 100% of any positive number is itself, so subtracting a number from itself would bring you to zero. Then 50% of zero is still zero, so you should stay at zero rather than go negative, yes!?
One trick I've learned facing a Ythril attack on my cities: On city tactical maps with single tile choke points - just sit still! Don't advance towards the enemy at all. When I do this the Ythril units, unable to flank me, just sit still and pass their turns as well, allowing me to plink away from range one unit at a time. It can be vary tedious passing through many units to get to your few ranged units, but I have successfully done this with just one o
Great! Your Let's Play was the first I watched and taught me so much about the game. FE:LH is my first 4x game so your guidance was invaluable for this newb. Good luck with your new playthrough!
I'm still a beginner and have played through with stock Resoln once. It took me a while to figure it out, but ended up settling on a strategy of summoning the Air Elemental and Skeletal Hordes, using a spider for webbing to buy more time when needed and then Blizzard for the army kill. The Horde served as a tank to draw enemy attention while I closed distance or awaited turns for spell casting. Never really got the hang of some of the other traits and spells though
Thanks. The Sorcerer's Army was camped for at least 30 turns within the enemy's outpost and within 3-4 tiles of his new city. It was like a giant bodyguard for him that kept me from recapturing any of that vital territory. Any time I would approach to see if he was still there the Sorcerer would come out towards me. I'd back away and he would retreat a few steps back to Magnar land. From reading a few other threads now it does look like it is
I am fairly new to this game, which is my first 4x game, so please bear with me. I'm on my fourth game now, playing the 1.3 version currently, and ran into the Dark Sorcerer for the first time. Or, more accurately, he ran into me. On a somewhat difficult medium map I was struggling to find crystal when I went around a corner of the map and found a spot with two crags nearby. I managed to settle a city there just as Magnar put an outpost near the farthest crag.</p
