This has been discussed many times. On higher levels, monsters will ignore the AI more and more. It's WAI.
Yeah and it's not that I want to make the game easier but this really kills the game for me. Tired of attacking enemy AI and seeing epic monster stacks hanging out right next to their cities.

Yes monks robe too. Sure a mage could do well too but I don't think he'd be walking around soloing epic stacks.

My crit is up to about 70% I believe and the dmg he does is totally unfair. How did you get your crit chance to 70?
Those of you who did the assassin-dodge build, didn't you just die of boredom fighting major battles? They guy's crazy durable, but woefully underpowered. If I wasn't dragging Ascian along, I'd fall asleep trying to beat a big pile of bandits. I'm not sure if it is only cause I was just playing on hard difficulty but my assassin sovereign was ridiculously over powered. It is very easy to reach 100+ dodge and by that point the only thing that can take you down is if you get CC'd somehow which seems to negate your dodge.
My assassin is really dominating on my current play through. I'm probably 50- 75 seasons in and he has 110+ dodge and solos epic stacks depending if they're melee oriented or not.
Oh wow that is good to know. I think I'll take a break from this game for a bit then. The combination of AI stealing all the city space and also putting outposts between my cities has really negatively impacted my save.
Quoting erock25, reply 5 yithril declaring war and moving stacks while deadly ranked spiders attack other cities... Monsters can be a blessing during war - there is a chance the AI will get attacked as they pass by the epic monster stacks, and get weakened or outright obliterated. Yeah I guess just avoiding it will work. Very tough though because it's right along my road so I have to watch every units path and where they'll end a turn. It was a game where I was expanding very quickly. I had everything in hand and then boom spider invasion, wildlings attacking my city, yithril declaring war and moving stacks while deadly ranked spiders attack other cities. Hectic stuff.
... and I'm only a few seasons into the game. So what am I to do? My city boundaries are about to expand over them and there is just no way I can imagine that I can kill them with current max army size of 6. I know I could start over but I'm loving my position on the map and some of the items I've picked up already. Are there any cheat codes or something or any alternatives?
Nope. The ai does zero 'thinking' during your turn.
I am making my custom faction and was just wondering about the initiative differences between Plate and Masterwork Chain. If the only bonus of masterwork chain is less resources used, than i'll stick with plate, but if there is a lighter initiative hit than I'm going with masterwork. I searched high and low for an answer myself so could someone fill me in on the difference in initiative between plate and masterwork chain?
