Yes it is set as the default playback/communication device. I wonder if it is caused by the crush, and the game is still trying to access the sound card via the original hardware ID.

Yes. After it was rebooted, all other applications start to use the usb one. I tried to uninstall the game and reinstaill the driver first before the game and it works. Is there a sound card detection process happens at the beginning of the game? Seems it only pick the sound card one.

I'm running a usb sound card and the driver crushed when I was playing. (They no more update it after Win7) After then, the game got no more sound at all, no matter I restart it or uninstall it. Is there anyway I can get back the sound? You can find the debug.err at www.d4.ms/debug.err
