I would love a battle resolution like the one in the old Dominions 3. PBEM is the way I play with my friends.

In order to have multiplayer (and then PBEM) I would be happy to have battles resolved from AI vs AI. We have AI able to manage an army and than this should be possible. This was the solution used in Dominion 3, a game that still has a large base of players in spite of its age.
