Go get those air shards :) You will be amazed.

Disband them no, but upgrading them is tricky / costly compared to producing new units. Easiest upgrade is for units / group size. Then weapon (usually costs metal & gold, then enchanted ones add crystal). Then we get to "HORROR MOMENT" armor. Geeeez! With almost most trees completed research (still left 1 branch on each before repeating infinite ones) upgrading a basic defender group of 6 weapons to lightning maces and top notch armor costs me no less than 1400 gildar, 92 crystals and 40
hmm the thing witht the higher levels of tax was that they seemed a bit overpriced to me. you start at 10% unrest at no tax, then 22% for 40% of max income, then suddenly jump to 38% unrest for a mere 50% of max income. never seemed worth it to me.
While the increase in revenue is nothing to write home about, we have to keep in mind all the improvements & spells that reduce unrest as the game progresses. Thanks Alstein. I think it would make all paths more interesting if you reduce the number of abilities and the number of prerequisites and use level requirements. A few examples: - Evoker I: + 25 % spell damage, level 3 - Evoker II: + 25 % spell damage, l

I enjoyed the high unrest that was associated with the tax rate. It made for a dynamic decision. What I do not enjoy is the lack of tax options. See 'tax mod' thread for more details on that. Ok let me clear this up a bit, shall I? :) Air elemental + Haste = ultimate death machine. If you have several air shrines (upgraded), he will kill an entire army by himself on first turn as soon as you haste him. I'll try to find the save with mine when I played Procipinee, he was 180hp 100 atk or something, 60 initiative with haste buff. Had no problem killing on his own an entire army of guardian statues in scrapyard. The elementals scale with the

You can always design new troops :) Late in game your troops already start at medium levels and you can cast spells to increase all army levels as well etc. Starting units will never make it to end game upgrades, sure you can upgrade their armor and weapons and group size, but you can't give them mounts or accessories, nor add / modify traits.

Can you guys please also fix the tactical map bug that is placing either some of your units or some of enemy units OUTSIDE of the tactical battlefield? The problem mainly occurs when you're fighting large armies (army size 9). Any melee unit spawning outside will be rendered useless - you can just skip turn pretty much. Very easily reproduced if you attempt to do the Arena Tournament quest with a party of 9 units. This severely hurts - for example - Ythril faction wi

I actually used with success catapults in the end game of my last game. Their damage looked fine, however the bad accuracy hurts it a lot. There also should be an indicator that the aoe salvo hits friends & foe alike (my heavy cavalry doesn't shine at dodge) :) The AI was also using them. So maybe instead of armor pen, add a chance to knock down the stacks hit by it? So it has a flavor of some sorts :)

I finally completed that game Azunai_ :) I got 2 storm dragons (no idea why peeps say they are weak compared to trained troops), you can use them with heroes or send them on their own on map to clear stuff / take cities. Keep a regen spell on them and they have no problem taking solo a city with deadly threat defenders - which I did, sent a dragon each way to clear enemy cities while my heroes continued to mind their own business doing quests and clearing wildlands. Don't autoresolve vs c

Your faction power is a sum of your advancements (all 3 research trees), your economic power (gildar and rest of resources income), territory (the area on map under your faction control) and military power. It has nothing to do (directly) with city spam. I can compete for 1st spot on faction power with only 3 towns if I can pump enough research, have a good economy and strong army. The AI will offer you treaties even if you don't have the tech for it (that o

Why on earth would you do that? RAZE IT! He can build it again, but at least you slowed him down, so he will be too busy rebuilding instead of casting spell of making or going on epic quests or backstabbing you! :) RAZE THEM ALL! FREE THE WILDERLANDS! :D

Make pioneers build roads as soon as you research the tech in civilization tree (make it 3rd or 4th tier so is not easily usable in early game by all factions so Capitar still retains a bonus in this regard).

It works just fine without either enabled. Auto end of turn happens as soon as all your units moved and all towns are building / training. So if you want to build more things in that turn, you can't because of it. Auto selection is another thing that I don't like and disable because when I move a unit, I want to instantly asses the situation, and not wait until everything moved then go back on map to find each of them and see what they uncovered etc. BUT

It's a smart move. Say I'm a bit below your faction power. And I plan to go to war with another faction which is smaller than me. But if you would decide to help them, or simply attack me once I'm committed to it, I will be in trouble. So I will give you a tribute of 10% of my income (which is 10% of gildar per turn, so it isn't really much for the one who's giving away) plus optional a fixed small sum of gildar. Then for 30 turns I'm safe from your side as you can&#39

Disable automated end of turn, as well as select next unit. What's the point of me clicking a unit to move 2 squares but just as the unit starts moving I'm switched half over the world to next one, so I have to manually move back on map to see what I uncovered.
Quoting Stupidity10, reply 7 Id say both defeating enemy Sov's (the first time) and entire factions should give fame for sure. Defeating a faction/Sov should be treated like a quest with a reward screen. Also I don't think defeating a faction is genocide. The population in their conquered cities is still around. (Unless they surrender, in which case I always thought they all suicided from depression). <br

It is 3 turns, since the turn you cast it on, your units can still act while theirs can't move :) If it was 3 turns after you cast it, would mean 4 in fact since 1st turn of the battle is counting as well. Same as Fear from dragons & co. First turn is counted as well, otherwise no matter what level of heroes or troops you had, you would get wiped (at least playing on higher diff levels when a fire breath can crit for 400+) :D

@moi-meme: you forgot to mention difficulty, but taking from your post you played on normal world / AI diff yes? Well if you bump the diff higher am pretty sure there is no way you can kill an AI by turn 30 (unless there are some nasty wandering mobs who kill his units or attack his city). And no, using a scout or other cheap units to drag dangerous monsters from their lairs / path into territory of an AI to wipe him is not a fair tactic in my book. Simple fix m

And a small edit: Be cautious with hasting an already high ini unit (hero mainly), because if you get hit by a dragon and he gets critical poison on you, you will take way more ticks (had my sin die once because I forgot to haste the healer, and he got 2 turns before mage could heal him - no healing poitions left sadly) :)

Indeed it was insane fun. At no point in the game did I feel like there's nothing left to do or nobody poses any threats. We're still 6 players in the game and world is still super populated :) Regarding the gold rush titan: the way I managed the fight was casting haste (I had several air shrines resulting in +8 ini boost for both my assassin and mage, but first one went on mage), which made him able to get 2 actions between titan's attempts to cast, so if f

How do you have that trouble :) I'm level 15 now on my Sovereign and level 14 on her hero (both used in same army from start) and I just stepped into mid game (turn wise, research wise, exploration wise). Also sporting other 2 level 9 heroes and one level 7. When I get to 200 fame I'd prolly get a leveled one as well. And there's still like 3/4 of lairs on map, all wilder lands are intact, loads of epic quests, and 9 AI's with bigger territories
