hmmm...I think we better build a greenhouse and start growing our own cacoa plants just in case! having witches as ancestors isn't all it's cracked up to be. I get blamed for things that I possibly couldn't have done. The most famous of which is: shortly after my ex-fiance dumped me, he had to have one of his testicles removed, and the other just stopped working. Now, how could that be my fault? Next they are going to blame me for him gaining 100 pounds in the past few years? Oh, s

I wish. I wish they would send me more memory for free One of my test boxes could use it!
Ok, so I needed more memory for my laptop at home (Ok, I really didn't *need* it, but I wanted it). I had 128MB in it and I wanted to get another 256MB. So, I asked Kris, here at Stardock, where he thought I should order it, since he seems to know these things. He said "Crucial", which is located at, you guessed it: www.crucial.com So, Saturday Morning I finally get off my butt and go to the site and order it. They have a handy little "wizard" that walks you through findin
Oh, Hi Elf!!!
Fuzzy Logic- "The idea of a girl kicking me... " Hmmm....you obviously have not seen my shoes. They are steel toed and pointed. But, maybe you are into that kind of thing.... The other funny thing about women is, although they do not typically have a lot of upper body strength, most of us have very strong legs. So, I would suggest wearing shin pads if you get the 2000th post <img
I just posted this in another thread, but I thought I would state it again as an FYI: There are a lot of ISPs that have blocked us (Stardock.com) (we are working on switching our mailserver to a different one on a different ISP to resolve some of the issues). (There are a lot of unfair "SPAM" organizations that will block because one person reported a Domain, or an entire block of IP addresses as Spam) If you do not get a response from the lookup at www.stardock.com/support you
There are a lot of ISPs that have blocked us (we are working on switching our mailserver to a different one on a different ISP to resolve some of the issues). If you do not get a response from the lookup at www.stardock.com/support you are probably being blocked. If you email [email protected] and do not get a response within 2 working days (especially if you did not receive the canned reply) you are most likely being blocked. Unfortunately, the ISPs that are block
Buy it! It's the best thing since sliced bread. Matter of fact, buy two! You never know when you need a backup! And, buy one for everyone you know, so you better buy 50 just in case Sorry, couldn't help it.....what did you expect from a Stardock employee?? I see you guys are still trying to figure out the "/me" thing... /me thinks that people don't hang out on IRC enough.....
Feline, I'm a solid, but aren't humans mainly water? So, I guess I am both....nice to see you back, btw Fuzzy logic, I will find you and kick you in the shin if you get the 2000th post. I am usually not very violent, but that might put me over the edge
That feature has been there for quite some time, and it is standard with the OD and registered versions. It is not available in shareware. I use that option all the time. To work best, you need to use it with XP supported skins.
Are you sure that you have DesktopX installed? I just downloaded the clock, double clicked on it and it ran.
no, only werewolf has an excuse for a full moon. We are on Eastern Standard time, except for right now which is daylight savings time.
hmmm.... If people don't start posting, this thread will be floating with me fish....
WinCustomize is a community and is run by the community (and we want it to be run more and more by the community) SO , how about somebody making a faq and sending it to T-Man or Alexandrie? I'm sure that if it is good, they will put a link to it. We are working on a Stardock faq, but it does not cover much of WC. The Stardock faq (work still being done to it daily) is located off the support page at: www.stardock.com/support
I've used Macs and I don't like them. My FIL has been using Macs for years, and even though he complains about them all the time, he claims that they are better than a PC (even though he doesn't use PCs). I don't like them, but I have no problem with them or other people being fans of them. i do, however, have a problem with companies slamming other companies to try and make themselves look better. All computers have their own issues- they are just different issues.
Try this, go into the themes directory and delete the ones that you just added. Redownload them but *do not* automatically add them. Once they are downloaded, make sure logon studio is closed, then double click on the file, or use the "load" option on LogonStudio.
Green Penguins that say "meep meep"? Australia is an odd place...
I like fish that don't float
I would think a rock the size of a football field would be easy to see. but, since I'm not a scientist, I guess I don't know what I'm talking about. Of course, in general, I usually don't know what I'm talking about....
You didn't miss much by skipping WinME
I had a Vic 20 with the tape tape drive (you know, the one that took regular audio tapes). Then we had a "Franklin" which was an Apple IIe clone. Then, years later, I got my first PC. It was a 386.
Hehe...i am actually looking at one of those ads right now, and was just wondering when MS is going to take action towards some of the claims. The ad that I am looking at is in Time Magazine. It shows a picture of a guy, then on the other page is a screenshot of an email to switchers at apple.com titled "It just works". It is supposedly from a LAN admin who switched to a MAC because it "just works" unlike the PCs that are a "constant struggle" to keep running. Underneath the email, it says "
I just checked it, and it's up now. We had some power outages, so it may have been down.
WiseOldMan- "KarmaGirl: I think everyone has figured that out by now. Everyone on this thread is contributing in one form or another. The horse has died. Quit beating on it. Answer Mr Benn comment instead. You also have my money. " Not everyone that reads the message boards actually contributes to the boards or the site. Just because it is read, does not mean that the person will post. As an example, this thread has 33 responses, but it has been read well over 300 times. So, obviousl
