Well, truthfully, I didn't mind the random picks. heck, they told you up front what was rare and what was common - so you knew what you might see again, vs. what you might need to grab now because it probably won't come up again.

Hi guys, something else I noticed last night, and again today, was cities autobuilding stuff. I noted a city in a game last night where a study was added to the queue without me adding it, and today an inn - both times I am quite sure I didn't add it myself, the building just showed up as under construction. Both times the queue was otherwise empty - that is, the city would have gone to 'no construction' and I would have added something myself,

I had been thinking about this, but thought maybe a combination of a little reduction to damage, and an increase to hp as well - this would result in the same thing (longer battles) and the added bonus of less one-shot kills. Less one shots mean less focus on initiative, as you can't wipe half the army before anyone gets a turn (or have that done to you, if you have low initiative!)

A couple of tactical battle issues I don't think have been mentioned yet (and forgive me if they have; I'm kinda new to the forums here...) edit: my apologies; forgot to mention for the record that this is with build 0.8 First - should a webbed unit block movement for non-webbed units? Example: <img src="http://i1298.photobucket.com/albums/ag54/jeffreyac1/webblocksmoves_zps568b5737.png" alt="" width="480" height="271

I dunno - my first impression was too much 'gear for WoW' feel; grinding for the right drop for my lvl 15 assassin so he's got the +crit gear. Perhaps you didn't mean it quite that way - and maybe the issue is more that the treasures we find are a tad underwhelming sometimes. I kind of agree that in general quest rewards/items/etc found for our hero's use could use a look - but I really feel there are some bigger issues that I personally w
If a hero is 'killed' while his army is successfully attacking a city you get two of the hero - one in the city you attacked and the other (along with the remains of the attacking army) in the closest other city. hmmm, has anyone else had this happen? I just tried to reproduce it and was not successful... more information would be appreciated.
I can verify - happened to me last game. the

To me, it's not so much that the weapons themselves are over/underpowered, it's that initiative in its current form is WAY too important. Being able to act 3 times as often as the opponent occasionally - I don't think this should be allowed, ever. IMHO, initiative needs a nerf - yeah, higher initiatve still needs to go first, and on SUPER big differences you can act more often, but you shouldn't be able to reach the 3x level so easy. I've had an army where I

I dunno, I'm kind of with the OP on this one. Seems pretty weird that I have to save several season's worth of my economy's whole output to buy a horse, or armor. Of course, we can't be TOO logical about this - there is game balance to consider. After all, if it was all logic, my sovereign would walk up and say 'Yeah, I'll be taking that horse, and that armor... got any decent weapons? Sure, I'll take those too. What, payment? PAY
On the note of the whole formations thing, I want to second that one as being quite a bit of a problem. Particularly when you're new to the game... as I am... it's very, very easy to just abruptly have a unit obliterated on the very first turn of combat simply because the game decides to plop it down 2 spaces in front of your guy, and then it gets the first turn and eats him. Noticed this with

Red is normal unit, yellow is hero, I believe. Not sure on the others - but I think maybe there's a color specific to summoned units...

On the subject of 'useless heroes', I'd like to see a better option for administrator type heroes - I wanted to try and make a couple administrator types last game, but found myself caught - ideally, an administrator type should be in a city, but unless he's out with the troops he gains no experience, making him worthless. Of course, he's an administrator - so if he IS out with the troops, he's worthless.... :) I'd like to see some sort
