escape tiles actually sound like a really great idea. Of course I'm imagining a box canyon on the map, enemy comes at you, only one escape tile, and its behind their army. [e digicons]8C[/e] As far as a skill in a tree I would instead consider the skill something like scouting the terrain under assassin or general, units have +1 initiative the first turn of combat and +10% chance to survive a retreat. Life leech seems masssively underpowered. I would suggest instead of life drain give them a vampiric strike ability, half damage dealt returned as hp, this way its not a lower powered ability at end game and beginning it is still more applicable.
I know that escape scrolls work currently, but I think this needs to be modified. As is the game plays out this way: Get secondary hero, secondary hero ONLY sits in a city to lower unrest for the rest of the game. Now I may be missing a basic command that everyone knows, if this is the case we need a tool tip or something that explains this. played yesterday, secondary heroes army had a destination selected, didn't notice until three turns later that it just stopped moving, had to manually move the army... Multi thread AI issue? I'd check the precedence of action stack seems to be getting lost in there assuming you have one.
