People really like AoW that much? I found it one of the many flat attempts to follow MoM, and thought it was uninspired and dull. FE is IMO better by miles. But to each their own I suppose.

[quote who="sjaminei" reply="8" id="3320928"] We need some more depth in unit designs I think. It's pretty obvious what is best most of the time, and your biggest concern is crystal vs iron spending. Double fire/cold +3 and double rings +1 is always the best bet when designing units and you have the crystal. I think some more depth regarding initiative, +hp pr lvl (get this away from gilden please) etc. and maybe some armor pr. lvl stuff would give
Amazing how much consensus there is, particularly given that some of the most beloved now weren't major commercial successes at the time (eg. Bloodlines, and Torment). Though to really sort this out you need to decide if you mean "best for the time they were made," or "best right now for someone who's never played an CRPG." For example I loved the Nintendo game "dragon warrior" when I was a kid, but I can't say I'd really recommend it
The AI could be better about choosing targets, but I don't have a problem with some expensive defensive units being a considerable boon to your army's survivability. Fully armored units costs tons of metal and loose initiative, and you have to weigh that against the strength of high initiative, high damage, low cost units which are really very good at taking out enemy armies. You can do so much damage in the first round before the enemy even gets t
First of all I'm loving the game! Great work to all involved. A great blend of RPG and stragegy that is a worthy follow up to MoM and FFH(2)! My specific issue that I was hoping for some advice on is that in my last two games I've had a problem with powerful neutral armies that have been "popped" by the AI (but appear to have not caused them any trouble, do neutrals not attack AI?), and start wreaking havoc after I conquer the AI territory.
I'm pretty new to FE, but it seems like the game does a pretty good job with making metal and crystals a real limiting resource, if you don't have a really solid supply (either though luck or tech) you have to build units with a lot of metal/crystal requirements slowly. It just seems that with horses/wargs the production to cost ratio isn't right. Mounted units should cost more mounts or the resources should produce less. That said, I do think it
I just bought this game on steam during the sale and have had zero problems with it. It also runs fine without steam actively running. LOVING the game! I should have gotten this back when it came out, but didn't get around to it. I was a big fan of Kael's FFH(2) and master of magic and this wonderful addition in that line. I was having some trouble with the graphics on my laptop, but I switched to using the cloth map all the time which
