The proof of decline for a current business model of Twitter Inc. would be either: number of active users go down, or advertisers willing to pay less (monetization per user go down) or leaving the platform at all. Thanks Brad, for bringing this topic. We live in an interesting time I would say. There's no annual report for 2021 on the site, however there was a net loss in 2020, but as far as I could read from the notes it's an accounting issue (literally they said that " In 2020, we recognized a provision for income taxes of $1.10 billion related to the e
It's funny, but despite the article title, Brad doesn't mention technological singularity, artificial intelligence or other sci-fi concepts) However, it seems obvious that changes in the economy, production process and distribution of goods will inevitably change the very structure of society. Or maybe it became obvious only if you have a some time to make pause and think) because sometimes it's hard to notice changes when you are part of them.
Well I'm aware of that Steam discussion. My considerations are: SD does not have ANY resources to spare at the moment for whatever reason. Thus at least this test might save them some time when the aforementioned resources will be available (if they will be available at all; but miracles tend to happen, especially on Christmas, AND IMO the release of 3.0 honestly was a miracle too). If they already nailed and fixed the bug - fine, no problem, let's wait for the release and hope it wil
BTW, I've made a series of tests and added additional info about AI summon problem, which may help to nail down the bug. https://forums.elementalgame.com/498192/page/1/#3831039 I hope this will prove useful, if not too late :)
BTW. I have made a few experiments and I guess these observations may help to finally solve the bug. In short: this bug is 99% dependent on "SpellTargetType" and the way how location of the summoned unit is calculated for AI. What is important, that different combinations of: 1) SpellTargetType 2) SpellTargetTileOccupied and 3) Radius affects the result and produce the variety of outcomes. Major outcomes for AI are: Outcome 1. Spell is cast, but the unit is not
Honestly, it is like that even larger mods are not supported anymore. I assume you address XtraDeconstruct mod? Or it is some kind of stand-alone "Path of the Ranger" mod?
Really? I remember it always working like that. It seems to match the in game hover info, or do you mean that it was just not listed in the changelog? And perhaps I remember the feature but not the exact tech that unlocked it. That wouldn't surprise me.
Yes, it was there.
MOM is one of my favorite games but after Star Control, I'd never want to do a game that involves a hard-core established fanbase.
That's always a challenge, and risky investment too. But that was exactly my point. You have a very specific audience, and there's no way to avoid dealing with their expectations. On the one hand, to be honest, I think it is better to leave most of the old IP as they are. On the
Well, Thea series was very good niche game. And since they said that they are doing a remake, and not some kind of modern style reinterpretation, there is a high chance to do things right. I mean, I'm not THAT skeptical, it's just that there have been many attempts, some successful (Warlock MoA was a good attempt IMO), some not (Planar Conquest, aka WoM). Btw I was among the people who pre-ordered WoM and never said something "aww you've ruined my game" :) And MoM is als
Well I guess 3.0 sounds better than 2.6 cause it implies that more things are addressed in the release :) Good news and thanks to SD and Brad personally. It just so happened that I've recently watched his interview about the development of the Elemental series and the battle against memory fragmentation. An interesting and cautionary tale about small things that can change the fate of your project. p.s. I was wondering if the issue with tactical summons is going to be solved?
Wow, am I the only one who noticed 2.6 preview ?
Sorry for somewhat necro answer, but hell it might be helpful for other random and rare visitors. The answer is yes, most of them do. Small mods like classes and features works 99%. Item and hero packs should also work. Modpacks and huge conversions - dunno. I've tried "Life & Death" at least and technically it works. None of them is supported though, so either you can only rely on yourself if you wanna change something.
Sorry but any chance to vote AGAINST a spell? :) Would be nice :)
Dear dev team and forum members. I haven't played for a long time, and now I'm back to the game. I would have to admit I really like the way the game is been developed, and I like new patches also. But on the other hand I see that some things remained untouched (where I would like to see more changes) and some new things came to my mind. I clearly understand that among these things some are 100% my personal preference others might be more "objective" issues
