Hi, Actually you are getting the error on a different file. We updated all of the files today, please give it a go again. Zargon

Deathtongue, Please click on the question mark (blue circle) in Impulse then select Impulse Error Log. Please post that here. Also, if you have not tried since 2pm EST today, please try again. Zargon
Strato84, Happy New Year, we are back. Impulse does a check of the files necessary for update and then changes the update size. If you actually try to do the update, does it change to MB in size? Zargon
Happy New Year, Assuming that you are still having the problem (please try downloading the update again and let us know if you are still having the problem) can you please post here the following: 1) Are you having problems updating any other software 2) What Anti-Virus software are you running? 3) What version are you trying to update from (1.00, 1.01, 1.09, etc.) Thank you! Zargon
Hi, This is not a copyright thing. We are looking into the issue. Zargon
Glad to hear that helped. Thank you so very much for letting me know it solved your problem. Cheers! Zargon
Yes (I'm in Italy).
OK. I sent you a list of instructions for the next time an update is available so you can send us the log. Thank you. Zargon
I can't check if deleting it will solve the issue, because I made the full 2 Gb download, so now I'm updated.
Cammagno, Did you install digitally initially? Kirk
Puntarenas, Thank you for your input. We will not give up until we find the issue. Glad to hear you are not experiencing the problem anymore. Zargon
Puntarenas, OK. Please try that and let me know. Basically, Impulse will recalculate when you hit the Update button. So even though it says the update is 2.25GB, if you leave Impulse open long enough that value will update. Instead of waiting, just click the update button and you should see a new value when the download starts. That is the actual size of the update. Zargon
puntarenas, Thank you for the screen shots, however I think you are not seeing the issue right? Correct me if I am wrong, you are seeing the correct value for the update at 47,55 MB right? We are looking for someone who sees 1.9GB+ in the update size field. Are you saying when you click update that Impulse tries to pull the 1.9GB+? If you
As another note, once you post that screen shot here, as a test please delete the registry values (on the right hand side) under here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\ComponentManager\UpdateSizes See if that resolves the issue (causing Impulse to not pull the full file). If it does, please let us know so we can focus on your screen shot. Zargon
Hi, Can someone who is having this issue, please post a screen shot of regedit.exe open to this key? HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\ComponentManager\UpdateSizes
Hi, Do you have .NET installed? If not, please download it from here and install it then try Impulse again. Zargon
I've the same problem of Zargon, and I installed fresh digital. Unlike some other guys, I didn't have this problem from the beginning, but only from the "p" subversion patch.
Do you have it every update? Can you please tell me if you see it tomorrow on the latest update? Zargon
Harpo, Pre Step 1, did you install from: 1) DVD 2) Restore from Archive 3) Download fresh digital ? Kirk
hey guys, are you working on a fix for the having to downgrade to the non-beta then back up to the current beta version to avoid a 1.9 gig update? Also, I always try and post saved games, error logs, custom sov. files, crashes, screen shots etc but I feel like I'm being ignored when I post bugs, nothing is ever done about them.
[quot
Widows and Widowers? Sounds like SimRenaissance
I think (constructive) criticism is more useful for the devs than praises.
Actually a good dose of both help. That way the features you like can be enhanced as well. Besides, the developers worked hard on this work and would like to hear you are enjoying the game as well.
icen9ne, Thank you so much for your support. Zargon
icen9ne, Being as I am one of those responsible for Impulse, I am glad to hear it worked out for you! Maybe you could change the title of your post to how a Netgear router ruined my night? [e digicons]:|[/e] Zargon
Star Adder, You say you have not had experience with a bad networking cable. Having had experience with them (multiple times in my life) I can tell you it happens. It is also not out of the question, especially if someone makes their own cables. Also, when you have a bad cable, you can see intermittent network issues as Murteas above confirms. Impulse has a very robust error/retry/restart mechanism. The error he is seeing is often (in our experience) du
icen9ne, Hi. Most of the time when Impulse returns that type of error it is a fundamental (usually systemic) issue with some piece of your network equipment. It could be any of the following, so I would try to isolate the issue by replacing these items (use another piece of hardware or work around them) 1) Ne
