I do not mind. If a hero falls in battle, he/she should be carried to the closest city. If that city is attacked, any true hero should get out of bed and fight, not run off to a safe distance. (Mages could be an exception.) If the city is lost the hero should be crippled and withdraw to the nearest cave planning revenge. Actually, loosing should open new traits based on revenge or despair, and being injured should actually give experience. Normal people learn a lot more from the
I listened to an interview with the norwegian prime minister on the radio today. He used to play Age of Empires and Medieval: Total War.
I knew it - the norwegian prime minister plans to overthrow democracy and become emperor. Only gamers would not see that is what is happening, but I have not been gaming for hours, so you can all trust me (and Valentin82 who have had our eyes opened). To me 4x games should require several p
Congratulations - both to Stardock and nexusmods.com. When I in another thread "suspected" nexus of being a dark brotherhood, it was both scary and pleasing to see the DarkOne imidiately standing up for nexusmods. In university I did qualify to wear a fraternity black hooded robe, and I imagine that if I put it on I should be able to make it into "brotherhoods" like the nexus to. Kids+work+gaming+modding+sleep are however hard to combine at times, but three or four of the five

(no need for starting influence to everyone)Lv 5+5 or 10xlevel in influence in addition to a reduced gold cost. Doesn't really need to be more complex than that. Any additional use for influence would be fun.
Heroes should be able to join you as an act of commitment (influence), greed (gildar) or despair. A unit trained to fight on foot would require extensive re-training if they were to be equipped with horses. I did my turn in the army, and I have tried riding a dog sleigh. Thinking that normal soldiers should be given giant wolves to ride on make me believe it should be more of disbanding the unit than upgrading it - or at least it should require a special spell or 600 gildar of dog-food.
I have tried numerous times to register at nexusmods, but I never recieve the activation e-mail that is required. I have no idea what I have done wrong, and being left outside in the cold, nexus feels like some closed fraternity or dark brotherhood that consider me unwrothy or at least unwanted. So, Heavenfall dislike Steam as many are not members, I dislike nexusmods.com - by prejudice. On the other hand, FE deserves to be named among (even better) games like games like Skyri
I would like to add siege, not allowing anyone to conquer a city unless they stay for an extra round or three. If a large army is placed nearby it really should be given some time to rush in to the defense of the city. If some damage is done every turn, monsters would still be able to decimate the population, but would only wipe it out if the monster stays.
I have kids, I often try to listen to the radio news while playing, and anyway I speak a different language and don't mind having english voice subtitled.
I, like you (Forager95), hesitated a little having no experience with War of Magic and having difficulties finding good reviews from independent sources. I must admit I bought the game mainly because the Fall from Heaven mod for Civ4 have given me so much joy that anything Derek "Kael" Paxton designs wake my attention - and in this case, my wallet. I enjoy it so far, but I have not playd much yet. It feels like a mix of Civ and Heroes of Might and Magic (or Age of Wonders), yo
I used to be frustrated with Steam, but lately it has been working fine. I do see the advantages, but several times I have been stuck in a situation where offline mode is not available until an upgrade has been installed, and the upgrade is not available due to different issues. Luckily for the last month or so I have not had any issues with Steam. So many of my favourite games requires Steam that it becomes an offer I can not refuse, and already being on their list of "clients" I am
Before buying a game i often check wikipedia. On FE the wikipedia article really needs an update, and I hope that someone on this forum is up to the challenge ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallen_Enchantress ).
