If I were stardock, I would be tempted to build a lua extension mechanism for writing AIs so that if players could try writing their own AIs. Note that this would need to be designed for players (so no API for creating resources or health or any of that stuff -- it would need to follow the same basic rules that players follow).

I do not think that touch of darkness is a dispellable effect -- it's a stackable spell which gives permanent bonuses and penalties. But not getting the spell mastery sounds like a bug.

Scrying pools get instantly razed the moment a city is conquered by a faction that does not have them. It gets annoying to have to keep rebuilding them, when playing Pariden, and there's a bug where the display of a city temporarily shows that it has an essence which it does not have when you are playing a faction without scrying pools and you take a pariden city. So... yes, Heavenfall is right.

The second bug is that, even if one member of the group is not able to move any further, the rest should be able to move along without it. Otherwise, why would the details show individual movement points separate from group movement?
I believe the independent tallies are kept because if an

Not at all, I'm about 200 turns in on that screen shot (about 7 cities - just look at my shard count, that's with the 4 towers built), the reason I can level so fast is because I can take on ANYTHING. Mowing over a couple of the wildlands will do that easily (hence why I'm saying

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say please try it before you talk, because it's quite frankly a bit embarrassing to be arguing over this. The production costs of basic troops is quite low. Hell, if you take wealthy on your sovereign you could rush an army of them out by turn 20. Spiders also cost produc

You should probably be aware that while call of the titans has a 10 turn cooldown, your sovereign and each of champions can cast it. So with your sovereign and two champions being active, you have three independent 10-turn-cooldowns. I like to contrast this with whither, where the cooldown increases when you get additional active casters that can use whither.

You can make a custom wraith faction with lucky, without taking binding or cult of hundred eyes (both are pretty pointless now that the basic troops are so much better), and without the no armor penalty even.
Not pointless at all, since production costs for your basic troops will be significant, and available defenses are already quite good without the dodge, and with binding and cult

Ok, yes, I'll pay the extra mana cost for dirge for the extra round to react. I'm currently running my sovereign solo because of all the strategic movement I lose when I bring an army with me, and if someone is going to resist dirge I want to have time to deal with that situation. Also, with enough death shards, dirge works just fine on anything that's not resistant to poison. (I think I'm up to 107 damage with it, in my current game -- huge map -- but of cou

And yet, for example, you do not have any influence to trade. Only Gilden had some influence and that was almost none. This suggests to me that you have been playing multiple games without any influence building (so much so that the AIs are copying you). But influence has a huge effect on negotiations. That said, note that after you select "I'd like to talk about something else" you can propose further trades.

It's only when I ask for >100 Gildar that the AI bugs out and recalculates its Gildar as being worth thousands.
I can think of several ways that that could be happening, includin

So, I am playing on a high difficulty setting, and someone builds a merchantcross bazaar long before I can even attempt such a thing.. Later, that faction is destroyed. Death Worship lets you convert elemental shards to death shards, which can be incredibly powerful. And the spells it unlocks are also powerful (and dirge gets a nice boost from your death shards). But perhaps we need an active community of wiki updaters?

Birth of Summer? Edit: oh, I do not know how to unlock previously unknown deposits of ore, though I can boost an existing supply and I suppose some city enhancements can give me ore without an iron mine. I am puzzled by that line. I am also not sure I agree with some of the other points (like: I am not bothered by monsters being "too tough" but I play using the huge map mod because of a perhaps analogous reason).

Note also that I, the player, will sometimes ignore goodie huts, settleable land quests, and so on. I sometimes do not feel I have the time or production to deal with them, and do I really want to give my enemies a chance to react so that I can collect a wooden shield or whatever?

I have been noticing quite often that when I research alliances I do not have any option to create an alliance treaty with other sovereigns. I do not mean that they do not accept the treaty but that the option does not show up for me to choose when I am proposing a treaty. Has anyone else seen this? I am wondering if the issue is that by the time I research alliances, some or most of the other factions have been destroyed (either by me or by another AI player)? Nevermind
