1. What do you mean by "farm"? Basic leather/chain/plate armor requires only craft items that you recover as loot. They never require map resources in your ZOC.
But I can't just create them via the corresponding map ressources, right? I would have actually preferred that the chainmail for a hero to depend on the same map ressources as for my regular units. [quote who="F

Foreword: I blindly bought SK as I liked the uphill battle idea and had a lot of fun with FE and FE:LH. However I am kind of surprised now and really felt the urge to make a list of PROs and CONs (especially with regard to FE). Maybe some people agree and/or the Stardock devs find this helpful. I never really payed attention to how exactly monsters scale with level, when they are player controlled (e.g. resoln's spiders and demons), but apparently they don't scale as they would do if they were just wandering monsters. At least that's what I got from modding the monsters one can get via wildland allies or other means. For resoln's spiders this is apparently due to them being defined in the CoreUnits.xml and not in the CoreMonsterUnitTypes.xml, so they are t
Quoting Spitzvogel, reply 39In general there are imho way cooler mechanics that can be added for spears that also feel less cheesy. What mechanics would make things less cheesy and just as fun?
Honestly I really want counterattack, when defending as one ability for spears. Currently all these abilities that trigger when defending seem rather lackluster to me as I really only "defend", when

"Impale is fine I think as it is rather hard to set up most the time." I find impale rather easy to set up and even easier with the special for "men", i.e. getting an immediate second move. Unless your enemy stands spread out. From an immersion point of view I really don't like the impale concept, but that might just be personal preference. In general there are imho way cooler mechanics that can be added for spears that also feel less cheesy. &

Honestly I am not really happy about balancing right now. I am aware that this is a beta and things are going to change, but some design decisions seem really odd to me. In the following I'll try sum up some of my main issues I currently have with way the weapons work and what skills are a real problem with regard to the who-moves-first-wins-issue. Be warned though that my opinion is kind of biased as I do enjoy games like Hearts of Iron (Yes, the game that is graphically as appealing as

Hi Sean, first off thanks for a really interesting MOD. I'll try get more findings in here in the next days (Hopefully with direct fix suggestions), but generally it seems that some issues I found are mainly related to the XML structure having changed at some point (or maybe I missed something else). All the changes I summarize below were done by adding them to the current FE files, so that I can be sure to not break FE's "magic" during launch as it seems to look for all XM
