So why would you want to have cities with 6+ grain then..? (e.g. I now have a city that has 10 grain due to farms and such)
You can reach level tresholds much faster and cheaper. (no need for "farm" buildings) It's more of an issue early in the game, later high production and tech will solve it for most 2+ grain cities. For instance, a 6 grain city can reach lvl 3 quite fast (Oracle/Scroll Scribe, Infirm

That has happened to me as well. Highly annoying. (in my case last minute defense against AI) I think it's something to do with timing etc.
-Can i add more classes of weapons? Not sure... there's blunt, spear, staff, onehanded, twohanded, bow
What do you mean? The classes of weapons mostly decides the placement in the equipment you can wear, 2-h, shields etc. If you just want to make new unitstats with unique damage modifiers etc. you can without messing around with them at all. I messed up once and made an axe into a shield. Was gr
You can sacrifice them if you have level 5 deathmagic. 1 pop = 1 mana. [e digicons]}:)[/e]
I suggest you start with pikes and mounts then. Coreweapons.xml and CoreMounts.xml as well as UnitStats.xml https://forums.elementalgame.com/444737/page/1 this should hopefully help get you started with the unitstats that should be the hardest issue to mod. Just pop in the modding help thread if you get stuck, and don't be afraid to experiment ;) If you get this mod right, I want it ^^
Welcome to modding ;)
Wait until you find this thing called "Blizzard Scrolls", available from Scroll Scribes (Conclave lvl 3). Instablizzard here I come!
The suggestions you have here were in Elemental : Fallen Enchantress. Weapons strength and weaknesses were effective against against certain armors. It was found out later it made the game clunky and was removed with Legendary heroes. I believe this information is still found in the XMLs and might be able to turn it backon. Should they change it...I think its fine how it is.
They put it on the armor though, no
Is it something that can be modded?
Yes. Most of the stuff you suggested is possible to mod. I also think there is a mod that gives leather armor to militia somewhere. (search armored militia or something)
Interesting. So it blocks the line in front of the target, and behind the starting point inside a grid. That last example looks especially interesting, wonder if we could make some spell utilizing that better.
I think this one should work for the spell xml above. (this is the one I use to make new spells show up with techs at least)
Tech BookOfMastery
@Davrovana you are thinking of this maybe? Don't think I've seen something like that in spells at least.
Playe
The range is target range, so 1 = melee. Radius is obvious ;) Adjacent = 2 next to target. More Radius should let you hit 5,7,9... etc. in a row. Essentially a horizontal line in front of you. The modifier seems to be limiters, if you remove it you get a fireballesque radius. The workaround I am using now is without limiter and just a pure 3x3 square effect radius. I tried putting these into gamemodifiers as well, but they stopped working
I'm trying to merge these two into one. LINE_FORWARD ADJACENT But I can't seem to do it, or I need to make a new RadiusType, and there is no template to work from afaik. Any suggestions how to proceed? I want Cleave and Impale merged into one, so it can hit up to 4 clumped up enemies. If there is some way to make 2 spells into one that could probably do the trick, but I don't know
It scales mana with damage. (the more mana you have, the more damage it does)
A ) No. Afaik, there is no way to reliable modify savegames. - You can however mod it into an ability if you want it specific to yourself, or just make it unlockable in a tech.
They don't surrender per se I think, they give up when they can't reach their game winning goal. I've been testing taking the slider to never, and they still do it. But yes, it is highly annoying.
Quoting parrottmath, reply 402 Are you referring to a tradable commodity among civilizations? or the shop? If you mean a tradable commodity like iron, then I'm not sure how to go about doing that. I'd have to dig deep to see how to get a resource to show up... never tried. Tradable commodity among civilizations (like iron)
Look into tweaking it in techs if you haven't
with alot of cities and the food production tech researched you can grow any city to level 5, but maybe you're already winning at that point.
I play on Ridicilous+, the AI's will have more points than me even if I have 10+ cities. I do not stack towns usually to get where I want, so mostly it's about Gentle Rain, Nature's Bounty and a couple of towns getting there. Winning is about difficulty, so if it's too e
Well, depends on your view. Militia can be OP damage-wise, but they suck defensive-wise. I feel it's fine as long as you are aware of them.
Rule #1 Do not expect too much from AI.
Are they? Mine seemed to suck.. but perhaps they don't get the training upgrades or the City enchantment mods? hmm.
Yes, beware of AI militia at higher difficulty levels... they HURT, ...alot ;) (My targeting is killing them first, then the "real" troops) But to be more specific. Hammer weapons upgrade with techs, other stuff do not. (archers seems to suck all game)
you won't grow a 1-grain city to level 5 because you'll need >20 butchers across your empire (when you have them, who cares about a single city anymore?) and you'll need >10 to get to level 4, so you're basically stuck with a level 3 city.
I do it all the time on huge maps ;) Oracle for the +2 grain, and the right buildings help a lot. If you have scrying pools as well it gets easier/faster. Either way, rese
I think Parrothmath has an armor upgrade mod as well. Look in the mod forum for that.
Seconded, more skins for modders would be awesome. Get those artist devs working ;)
